Yeah you're probably right. Provided the car is in any way functional (which it ought to be) then they'll do as much as they can whenever they can. I was using 'disaster' in the "where do these wires go" kind of wayUnless the agreement has changed since Indy 2005, they'll need to at least do the formation lap. Besides, if Friday is a disaster, that'll be even more keen for track time, so they won't to waste FP3 or Q1. What'll hurt them is that unlike testing, when they break down, that's it for a given session.

don't know whats with the tsunami of negative vibes I'm getting from the people here, but to me this car is way better developed than Virgin or Lotus's and that extra development time would be better than squandering man hours on trying to squeeze little to no extra performance out of the chassis.
I personally think the livery is quite nice
Unlike the other new teams they'll probably be away from the backmarkers after the first race.
How can a car that hasn't turned a wheel be regarded as "better developed" than those that have? Perhaps I'm reading this wrong, but.... aen't people getting a bit, well, carried away here. Talking about how quick the car looks compared to the other newcomers? What planet are you on?
I wish them well, as I wish the other new teams well, but..., come on, this is a ridiculous state of affairs; to be turning up at the first race of the season without a single meaningful mile on the clock. How many of the current teams, with years of data to work back with, would believe it a good plan to turn up at Bahrain in this way?

I think the shape of the car is gorgeous. That gray is just no color for open wheel car imho so having some free time today, I decided to see it in some colors.
Nicely done. First or fourth for me. Or maybe the third. Or second.
The basic shape of the design of the livery is attractive (I like the sweep of the strip in Spanish colours, although that's a little broken by the shape of the nose) but the main colour is an odd choice. I'm hoping it will look better when I see it on the TV, though, because so far it's looked different in just about each picture I've seen.

I don't really rate GP2 that highly, especially the year Senna competed. He is a lovely chap, but beating a few guys in GP2 in a top team is nothing to write home about. There are literally hundreds of drivers in the world who could do the same given the same investment and opportunity he and others had. It's one of the biggest and well kept secrets of motorsport! The guys at the top aren't as good as people would like you to believe.
What we do see is every other a year a genuine talent come through. Hulkenberg - Alonso - Hamilton... but not all that often. There are many more people out there who simply don't have the cash to get near he sharp end. It has nothing to do with talent.

I wonder what it is about green racing cars. I don't like the colour green (despite my nationality), I never like it on sports jerseys yet for some reason on a racing car it always looks beautiful. It's weird. I can't remember a bad livery that was green (I'm not including Honda's Earth Campaign abomination - that wasn't a livery, it was a drunken vomit).
I'm weirder: hated the Jaguars, but love the new Lotus.

I worry that they might be a one-year wonder like so many other teams. Well it seems USF1 lied again when they said they would return J-Lo's deposit of $880,000. He needed that money released as his down payment at HRT to secure the seat since the rest of of his sponsorship money is locked up until the season starts. So USF1 screwed him one last time.....
