I think there's a post on page 1 where RS is to the left of MS, but the significance wasn't spotted at the time.

Edit; here you go - page 2

Even though I first used this system to show Irvine > Schumacher, this does break the second rule of the game. However a quick glance at wiki suggests that Piquet snr > Schumacher.

I wonder if we can make Piquet jnr > Piquet snr ?

Yuji Ide > Sakon Yamamoto > Christian Klien > Liuzzi > Speed > Piquet Jr. > Grosjean > Kobayashi > Heidfeld > Alesi > Berger > Michele Alboreto > Stefan Johansson > Bertrand Gachot > Michael Schumacher

That's where it ends. Nice try I guess :p

EDIT: If we count Spec

Yeah a nice failed try

Ok gentleman new challenge...................I tried but failed

Danica Patrick>Takuma Sato> ending with Hamilton/Schumacher would be perfect.

Here you go... Proof that Danica Patrick is better than Schumi, Hamilton, Alonso, Button and Vettel!!!

Patrick > Sato > Courtney > van der Merwe > Piquet jnr > Di Grassi > Di Resta > Vettel > Webber > Rosberg > M.Schumacher

Patrick > Sato > Courtney > van der Merwe > Piquet jnr > Di Grassi > Di Resta > Vettel > Webber > Rosberg > Hamilton

Patrick > Sato > Courtney > van der Merwe > Piquet jnr > Di Grassi > Di Resta > Vettel > Webber > Rosberg > Hamilton > Alonso

Patrick > Sato > Courtney > van der Merwe > Piquet jnr > Di Grassi > Di Resta > Vettel > Webber > Rosberg > Hamilton > Button

Patrick > Sato > Courtney > van der Merwe > Piquet jnr > Di Grassi > Di Resta > Vettel

Danica Patrick...
Where are you???
F1 needs you... and your talent...

Piquet Jr. > Petrov > Hulkenberg > Kamui Kobayashi > Heidfeld > Massa > Villeneuve > Frentzen > Hill > Senna (Williams when they were racing together) > Prost > Mansell > Piquet Srn.

I tried.

I must point out a mistake in my post there. The 1st time Ralf appears is wrong, because Fisi beat him, and I had it the other way round.

TBH, I think it makes it too easy. Part of the fun is the difficulty (IMHO) which would be taken away by some pretty random results.

I do have another challenge though which is; can you get a driver who is currently losing to their teammate, ahead? So, can we get Massa ahead of Alonso or Button ahead of Hamilton etc etc?

oh, okay.

Massa > Raikkönen > Coulthard > Webber (2007) > Rosberg > Hamilton > Alonso
yeah, it's a bit fishy at the Coulthard-Webber part, but whatever... :)

Button > Trulli > Glock > di Grassi > di Resta > Vettel > Webber > Rosberg > Hamilton

Ok. This is not a current teammate pairing.

But I thought this could put a smile on the face of a tortured soul, if he ever happens to read this thread...

What the hell is Marquez doing wasting all his talent?
Better than all 5 world champions of this generation and not to be seen in f1 at all.
Does he think he is too good for f1?

Finally the riddle is solved.

Perhaps one could write

Rosberg>[Hamilton, M.Schumacher]

I don't think Bernie ever beat a team mate. By the time he was part of a team, it was his team and he only dabbled anyway. It would be like Tony Fernandes entering a Lotus for a bit of fun. Bernie was always the slowest Connaught.

Bold bit = bullshit too far for this thread, I'm afraid.

Either Hamilton > Alonso per FIA standings or Alonso> Hamilton per races finished ahead. If you use the latter measurement, then you have to do the same with Kovi & Trulli.

The bullshit needs to be consistently applied, even if it is with a shovel rather than a 000 fine art brush.

And

2. If the drivers were teammates over a number of years, we will consider the total period.

Come on we can still get him beating Button, but you'll have to put more effort in ;)

If it weren't for rule #2 then it would be too easy. Basically rule #2 is an extension to rule #1. Of course in the event they were tied on points you can look at the official standing... or better yet, invoke rule #8

So if it weren't for rule #2 we could have Button>Barichello>Button... which wouldn't be fun at all :)

Buttoneer (the keeper of the code) needs to clarify Rule 1&2.

The rules don't need clarifying. The first says that one driver must beat the other, and the second provides the conditions under which that rule operates. On that basis, Barrichello doesn't beat Button. Might be possible to do a count to see whether Barrichello finished in front more often (rule 8), but then you need to apply that across your entire chain to be consistent.
