Pretty hopeless on road tracks...?
Unlucky maybe.
In qualifying for the 1968 Mosport USAC race, Hill had set a time that was good enough for outside pole before falling off the road on someone else's oil.
At Castle Rock, Art Pollard finished 5th. Joe Leonard was 8th.
At IRP, Leonard qualified 2nd and led the race, but was a DNF after a crashing a curb.
At Riverside, Leonard qualified 3rd and was running a steady 5th before handing the car over to Andretti, who then crashed it.

With the view that - if you are going to screw it up you may as completely screw it up - I'm with you Brian! The way the model is lettered and laid out on the drivers left side is so different from the actual car, it is of little consequence that the spelling is off too. B²
