His Mk2 was bought by Fran Ridewood for Rob and then Bill Marks to ride :up:

Saw him ace at Manfield on the 18th Dec. He once held the lap record there on the RG. His MV Augusta sounds great. He came third.

just put in 20 ltrs @ £25 tonight of asdas s**t to get me home ..... i live 3 miles away! :drunk: :wave: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Looks like John's brother Bruce in attendance on the Ulster grid. Diesel is NZ$ 1.39 a litre, cheaper than their petrol as it's government-subsidised.

John rode really well despite the long break away, bike beautifully presented and never missed a beat. Every session you could see he was markedly faster but always smooth. Still a gentleman and was great to see him going round the pits introducing himself and offering encouragement to the younger riders. Hopefully he'll be back enjoying himself again next year.

Not really subsidised just cheaper as only gst is the only added tax, vehicles using diesel have to pay an extra road tax charged per km, this is because unlike petrol alot of diesel in used in non road situations.
