Reviews are coming in ... and it's not good news.
Basically, they just lied and made another Shift -same crappy overaggressive AI.
B+ from 1up:"The A.I. drivers can be unrealistically aggressive, too. A measure of unpredictability in CPU drivers is always welcome in a racing game, but when one of these incorrigible bastards turns heat-seeking missile and puts you into the wall in lap four of a five-lap race, you'll want to toss your controller."
That just saved me $60.
The other reviews are really poorly done -as if they spent no more than 15 minutes in the game.
No mention of tyre wear, track degradation, pit stops etc.
"What it isn't, however – and here's where the likes of Gran Turismo and Forza steal a march on it – is reliable or consistently satisfying in its action. While the addition of an Elite handling model certainly points Shift 2 Unleashed in the right direction there's still an uneasy lightness to the car's behaviour, and even once accustomed to their more sensitive ways they're still prone to providing some nasty shocks. "
Any reviewer that says "light handling" is an arcade player .
"Too often though, tailing drivers will disregard you at a corner, sending you face first into the nearest gravel trap. When you're several laps deep in a key race it's hard to find the funny side and moments like this make you wish for the rewind feature that's been creeping into other racing games. "
Overall, it's very hard to find good racing reviews on gaming sites, but this sounds quite "meh".
