Has anybody here ever played netKar Pro? You can get the demo from the website (www.netkar-pro.com), or buy the full game for 14,90 Euro.

A small introduction for those who've never heard of it.

Dinstinctive features

- Clickable cockpits
- Visual tirewear, you can see your tires degrading as you drive more laps on them
- Flatspots. If you lock up your tires too much under braking you get a vibration in your car/wheel
- Wet weather
- Very realistic tire model (better than iRacing's tiremodel I'd say)
- Very good Force Feedback.

Cars:

F.1600 (Formula Ford)
F.1800
F.2000 (Formula Renault)
F.Target (F3)
F. KS2 (GP2)
500 Abarth AC
Osella PA-21S
Vintage GT (Shelby Cobra)

Tracks:

Fictional tracks included, but a lot of real tracks available through the community.

Hi mate, I actually haven't tried NKpro. I have followed your comments on the iR Forum. We usually have similar points of view so I am interested to try it. To be honest, after reading your comments since the update, I downloaded the demo, but didn't install it. I've been pretty busy but will give it a burn asap. There are not many sim titles I do not own, so will probably succumb to this one very soon.

Cost of the product is no big deal, but it does seem a little pointless when the servers are usually a ghost town. I have enough trouble as it is finding a race on iR during Aus evening times. :)

Leagues do not interest me at all. I am very much a pick up and play kind of guy, I never know exactly when I will be able to sim race, so iR's system works pretty well for me.

Also, I was a big modder with N2003, GP series and rF. But that does not interest me anymore either. I NEVER want to download another add-on circuit ever again. Anything below laser scan quality, I lose interest pretty quick these days. So the tracks seem a bit uninteresting to me. Fictional tracks especially. Having said that, my first experience with racing as a kid was hill climbing, still love it! So the hill climb circuit has definitely got me interested. That will be my first port of call.

Since 1.3 came out online population has been a bit better than in the past. I'm talking about the Euro zone now, 1800 GMT till 0.00 GMT there's always some racing to be found. I don't know how it will be for your timezone though.

Tbh I'm not sure if this is your cup of tea, regarding the tracks, add-on tracks (of which many are of poor quality) and online system. But you should definitely give it a try for the driving exeperience. The Hill climb is fantastic, and so is the rain!
