This is a new game that I have just been informed about and it basically lets you draw a track using real roads, wherever you wan't and then you can place landmarks and then you race through a procedurally generated track in a Mclaren.

Hometown GP

It is quite nice and if you are interested in the technical side of it there is a video from the developer here.

That's such a cool concept!

Looks promising, an F1 race around my neighborhood would be pretty sweet

I built a track around het Amsterdamse Bos in Amsterdam, it was pretty good... but when I want to revisit it through the website nothing happens. I already e-mailed the website, if I got the track up and running again I will post a link here.

Sound interesting.

I won't be making a track myself, (If I try to do that here my incoming workload will suddenly increase!! ) but I've sent the link to a friend who's more than happy to spend hours buggering around with options and settings.

Just had a go, i like it, although with the keyboard controls it is very hard to control. I have made circuits of my home town using Bobs Track Builder for rFactor, but you only get a 20 day trial and although I paid for a licence, it didn't work :( Nevertheless, quite a nice little tool.

What I'd like to do (if i was any good in this field) would be to make a game where you own your own race circuit, after all there are loads of Sim... and ...tycoon games
