Hi Everyone,

Just booked flights for Singapore GP, this will be my first ever F1 race after being somewhat addicted for the better part of 10 years. Thought this might be my last change to see Webber raced, having missed Melbourne. I will be travelling from Canberra, via Melbourne.

I am hoping to get some advice on what grandstand tickets to get from those that have been before. I looked at the pit straight, or turn one, but the pricing seems a bit high and to be honest, I would rather be somewhere where the cars at least attempt overtaking moves - such as turn 7.

Really curious as to whether you able to choose your seat in the booking process. According to http://www.singaporegp.sg some seats in the Connaught Grandstand offer views of turns 14 AND turn 8. I am guessing this would be the back right corner of the Connaught stand (looking at it front on)?

Unfortunately there is no seat selection page before the payment screen, so I would love to hear from someone that has booked in the past as to whether you get to select the seats once you have paid.

Not to fussed about being able to see big screens, will be hiring a fanvision (kangaroo tv) unit.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated... Can't wait!

Have been to all 3 races in Singapore.. Turn 14 is a good spot... I think there's a stand on the outside of that corner.. It's best to be near 1 of the corners if you can get tickets..
