He might miss seeing Hernandez in the CL Final, but hopefully he can race tomorrow
If he was knocked out he will be probably told to sit out on Sunday, even if he is perfectly fine (fingers crossed!)

Two side impacts means suspension penetration into the chassis is a very real possibility.

I am hearing comments from Monaco that Perez has hurt his legs
#17
Posted 28 May 2011 - 13:22
100 meters before the impact you can see Sergio getting up his right hand to hold his head. Marc Gene on TV saying that's not a good idea, as in this kind of impact the helmet will surely crash against the chassis and it can smash your hand
Yes, this is what caused (minor) hand injury for Nick Heidfeld when he did that spectacular roll in 2006. But you can't fight the instinct.

heard it in the tv, an argentinian reporter that has a good relationship with sauber team was told that. But we still have to wait for a full check up on checoSource?

GlockVery possible he has injured his leg, was it trulli in Japan a few years ago? He had (what looked to me to be) a less severe shunt and cut his leg.

Most important thing is however that he is reasonably fine. If he was unconscious for a while, they won't let him race tomorrow.

Just that nasty bump. Hope they'll do something in time for tomorrowWas it really his mistake or did something on the car give way?

That bump has been there for as long as I care to remember, I kinda doubt they'll suddenly change it overnight, but you're right, it needs to be considered.Just that nasty bump. Hope they'll do something in time for tomorrow

Perez was taken out of car on a stretcher. Appears to have a neck brace on in the photo.

Precautionary I'm sure.
He looked to be very still for the 5 or 6 seconds of onboard footage we got just befor we saw the first replay. It looks like he almost certainly lost conciouness for a short while, which most likely means no Sergio tomorrow (aide of any other injuries of course).

Poor Sergio. What a rough impact and I can't imagine he'll race tomorrow. Hope the poor guy is right for Canada. Never like to see a driver get hurt.

When I saw The Rosberg Crash In P3 , i was Like, Lucky Boy!! That's a Close one... Then This One,It Reminded Me Of Karl Wendlinger's Crash In 1994 at the Same Spot, and In a Wierd twist Of fate, Karl was also driving a Sauber. Was very Worried when i saw the crash. Hopefully he will not suffer the outcome of Wendlinger's Crash: A Coma and The end Of is Carrer. He came Back After, but Never was the Same Driver... Get Well Sergio!!! Hopefully he will be back for Canada...
Button had a similar looking crash to Sergio in 2003 - http://www.youtube.c...feature=related
He missed the race but drove in the next one. Hopefully Sergio is as lucky.

They should include these bumps on the braking zones on Tilke tracks, and probably resurface them in Monaco. No one seemed to have a problem in the braking zone with the bridgestone tyres, whilst two blokes went off today.
Glad Sergio is okay.
Kimi did the same thing on Bridgestones. It's purely a result of coming out of the tunnel too far to the left on the dirty stuff and then not having enough grip to correct position and brake at the same time. Driver error.

I didn't see any movement from his head and my heart sank.
fantastic news to hear he's talking. Hope he is OK.
When I saw the yellow and then red flag, I asked myself "what happened?". Then they showed the onboard footage of Perez... He wasn`t moving at all.
Thank god he`s ok, I was so happy for him when he beat Kobayashi and made it into Q3. Well, he won`t be racing tommorow for sure, atleast he can watch the CL final and see how Hernandez crushes Barca today

With Kimi it was a wet spot he hit under braking. The track was still drying after rain. So comparing Bridgestones on wet track to Pirellis on dry..
