"Maybe you need to remind everyone that you are the champion".
"How?"
"You'll think of something".

It was quite funny, "The wall of the drunken marshall" he seemed to trip over nothing. I did notice the marshalls were pretty quick to react though in general.

Yeah, at 23 seconds in the marshall in the background looked to be moving before Vettel hit the wall, great marshalling

So it is Vettel!
Just like in FP1 of Turkey he pushed a little too hard and put the car into the wall. As long as he does overdrive only on Fridays...

fingerboy is making more and more faults. Lewis is getting to him and he knows nobody can beat Lewis if Lewis is in a car, which is at least equally good.
wins 5 out of 6
143 points out of 150
that wall needed the stamp of the reigning champion and he obliged

Its practice, people make mistakes. Thats the point of practice

I would honestly like to hear a detailed and well-supported reasoning as to how a driver who finished far from the podium while being involved in several incidents last weekend could have enough of a psychological effect on the convincingly dominant, current world champion to cause him to make a slight but costly mistake during a lap in a practice session.fingerboy is making more and more faults. Lewis is getting to him and he knows nobody can beat Lewis if Lewis is in a car, which is at least equally good.
I'm all ears--or would you rather admit that it's more likely he just made the mistake from a judgment error and there's nothing more to it than that? It's called "The Wall of Champions" for a reason.

Well last year Hamilton binned it in FP1 in Japan and everyone went batshit crazy about 'OMG HES OVERDRIVING LOLOLOLOLOL'
Its practice, people make mistakes. Thats the point of practice
That is what Peter Windsor said about Jim Clark. Even Jim pushed sometimes too hard in practice, but usually only in places were the direconsequences were not too sure.

It's also what Michael Schumacher used to do... establishing where the limit is...

Some say he may have done it on purpose ;)
Others say Mark Webber sabotaged his car............................................
Nothing to do with this poll though, Mark was just fed up!

Don't be silly. One of Vettels biggest strengths is how he handles pressure, you can even see it in his pre-F1 days.
An accident in FP is nothing and happens to the best of them, including Hamilton.

I'd also like a list of drivers who didn't make a mistake today, because I saw almost everybody leave the track at one point or another today.

http://en.wikipedia....ll_of_ChampionsWall of Champions
The final corner of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve became well-known for crashes involving former World Champions. In 1999, Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve all crashed into the same wall which had the slogan Bienvenue au Québec (Welcome to Quebec in English) on it. The wall became ironically known as the "Wall of Champions". The wall also was involved in a crash with Ricardo Zonta, who was, at the time, the reigning FIA GT sports car champion. In recent years, GP2 Champion Nico Rosberg and CART Champion Juan Pablo Montoya have also fallen victim to the wall. In 2011 Friday practice, the wall claimed reigning F1 champion Sebastian Vettel[8] whilst the rumble strip claimed the pride of a Race Marshall[9].
Full list of victims:
Damon Hill, 1996 F1 World Champion, in 1999
Michael Schumacher, 7 time F1 World Champion, in 1999
Jacques Villeneuve, 1997 F1 World Champion, in 1999
Ricardo Zonta, FIA GT sports car Champion
Nico Rosberg, GP2 Champion
Juan Pablo Montoya, CART Champion
Jenson Button, 2009 F1 World Champion, in 2005
Sebastian Vettel, 2010 F1 World Champion, in 2011

I heard a rumour that Seb whispered to the wall "I'll hit you again next season, when i'm still World Champion, ring ta ting ding ding"
