25th May 1914 - Romania, Bucharest, alignement of the competitors before the race to a distance of 216 km. Bucharest - Pitesti and retur Pitesti - Bucharest
The first place was occupied by the competitor Constantin Silisteanu , on motorcycle Moto-Reve in 3 h. 17 m having a medium speed of aproximately 63km/h.


1927 - Romania , motorcycle Triumph TT 500cc. ,motorcycler Basile Assan, climbed Bucegi mountains.

Behind Constantin Bazu Cantacuzino it is the french motorcycler Fernand Meynier and austrich motorcycler Leopold Killmeyer.

Hi-Wonderfull atmospheric photo's! Leopold Killmeyer was guest of honour at the first Franta Juhan memorial meeting on the speedway at Pardubice. At the horserace circuit where the action used to take place pre 1965 he sat on my 1938 Excelsior JAP. The look on his his face as the years rolled away was priceless-he became a young man again. Also present was the eminent motorcycle collector and historian Dr. Helmut Krakowiztser. It was a great weekend. Sadly both the above are no longer with us.
