That Dalro rear-end was all I saw of it, before it vanished before my eyes, when Les and I were 'lined up' together.

The yellow wheeled little green beast on trailer in the background of the Riley photograph shows debut appearance ( since 1963 ) of Howard Tucker's Prad, built in 1957 by Jack Pryor/Clive Adams/ Stan Brown for Ian ? Jenkins who only ever raced the car on the dirt of rocky Mt Ginn Speedway Canberra)
And the Amilcar , with its lovely jewelry eg Bleriot lights, and proper bracketry, runs a Ford B engine.

I liked Tim's quick calculation, declaring the 'profit' on the day to be $10..."Which would be invested wisely".
As you say, John, a very pleasant day, and evening later on.

A very pleasant day, with applause to VSCCA old hands Tim Shellshear, John Lackey, Rob Phillips and more who have persevered with organizing this over the years, finally to a small profit to ensure its continuance.

John, did the Nota get under 15 ?

How many times do I have to tell you that my Nota has NEVER been under 15s? Same old same old, although I didn't see times
We sat with the Victorians at the dinner, where I met for the first time Brendan Dillon, the conductor of the aero engined GN ( for which he cast up his own crankcase). Brendan, I also discovered, was at one time the Southern Hemisphere's biggest producer of pennyfarthing bicycles, held the world slow race record on same, and with a bunch of friends almost crossed Australia on pennyfarthings. In my view this almost matches for eccentricity Steady Barker's wingwalking and looping the loop on a Tiger Moth at his 75th birthday party. Or the Grand House in England whose motor house used a large aero engine to power via flapping belts and rattling chains along the longest side wall ..... a pencil sharpener. I am green with envy. For the rest of the dinner, we talked GNs and Frazer Nashes.
You should have been there, Dick, although your room was pleasant enough

The GN is Brendan Dillon's handy-work, not Frank's.
Edit :- Just noticed John has covered the GN nicely.
The times were stuck on the wall on Saturday night, however Tim promised to send a copy to those competiters who are on his email list.

A lovely job as I see it in the photo, I suppose it's even more inspiring when one is up close. Those high-rising SUs are just classic period stuff too.
What a job! Pass on my congratulations to him.

Such compliments are music to our ears. It was a great day and will be on again next year. The mix of cars was well received.
The motor in Brendan Dillon's GN Aero is self explanatory as it is written on the plywood fire wall. Two cylinders from a Wright Cyclone radial giving the two cylinders 6.2 litres. Lots of trouble getting off the line meant best time of only 34.33, but obviously lots of potential. For his efforts Brendan takes an STD back to Melbourne.
The only thing missing was the blossoms which in previous years have been spectacular.
This was the VSCCA's seventh running of this event and after almost looking like a dismal washout up to the last minute it suddenly took off with nearly double the number running compared to previous years. 63 entries this year, our best yet.

I'm sure, with the right anti-biotics, he will be OK.

Too heavy, Stephen...the only Porsche bits on the [1959] Beetle are the 356 brakes.
