Then I realised that my memory is so crap, I can't even recall the names of most of them. Only a couple spring to mind right now. There was Jim Pearson. Always wore a massive sombrero on the TT grid. I think he opened a motor cycle shop in the midlands. Also a guy named Martin (Taylor I think) who converted a BSA bantam to rotary valve. It was called the Rota Bee. John Hudson and Neville Watts..both good CR93 pilots. Many more characters are lurking in the data bank. When they surface, I'll let you know. Meanwhile, maybe it'll work for you. Or if you think this is a rubbish idea just say so and I'll get me coat.

As you say the web shrinks the world so we impoverished souls, still nose to the grindstone in Blighty, who weren’t good enough to retire to the sun on our winnings (?) can keep in touch with the glitterati.
If only I’d kept in touch with the blighter that still owes me 10 bob I’d be a rich man today, only I lent it to him in the Snetterton bar one Saturday night and I’m not sure which of the three blokes I was ‘focusing’ on at the time was the culprit.

Bumped into Tim Maton in the Abingdon Tesco's the other day.Do you ever think back to the day and wonder what happened to guys you used to share the grid.. and the odd pint with? I was wondering if it might work to stick a few names on here and see if anyone knows the whereabouts of some riders of yore.
