Hi
is there any that have information about Lotus Mk. 10 (1955) ex Scott Russel? Immages and information are very welcome.

Thanks
Antonio

It was reportedly destroyed in 1956

The engine seized on the Hangar Straight, and Peter ..."got out to walk at 140mph".

Similar cars were raced by (?) Kasterine and Cliff Davis. Pictures can be found on www.picasaweb.google.co.uk/rbmapics of one being raced to today. Goodwood and HSCC March albums

I know this sounds rather vague but three Mk X Bristols were actively campaigned in the early 1970s by Peter Van Rossem (NOY1,red, ex Cliff Davis), Chris Drake (white) and Ken Rogers (blue). I am fairly certain that one of the letter two was alleged to be ex Peter Scott-Russell who was a commentator at the time so reference to it would have been not infrequent.

Another one, ex Mike Anthony I believe, appeared in the 1990 with Keith Payne.

NOY1 was in New Zealand for a number of years. Bill Clark offered it at a good price but I had to turn it down. It went back to the UK soon after. Very fast little car it was.

Drake and Rogers also owned NOY1 at different times, and Drake had PCD13 as well

Where do you read this?

Apologies - I didn't read the reference right through. It goes on to say that after his 1956 Silverstone accident Scott-Russell spent several years rebuilding the car

and Ken Rogers (blue).

I do remember Ken airborne almost over me at Snetterton (I assume it was the same car) after he decided to overtake on the grass at the start and then speared right back onto the track. David Springett ended up with a very bent Lotus XI nose. The incident was on TV that night as About Anglia (?) was filming all the events that day.

It will be interesting to see those immages

Another MK X , said to be ex Scott Russel, but registred JBW648, is for sale in France...from a long time.
Lot of pictures with it, but don't kow if it's the car you're searching!

JBW648 was the number of Scott-Russell's original car

I had a couple of brief drives in Jeremy Agace's Ex Cliff Davis car in about 2002. I seem to recall it being NOY 1? it was silver at that time.
It was a lovely car to drive, but the high carbs didn't half pump a load of fuel back into your eyes until it got up to temperature and running smoothly.

Yes, NOY1

I don't think I've heard of it since it was in Coys showroom in 2002. Any ideas?

I can't recall, in which case, maybe one of the trips was back to the sellers own garage....

Graham White had a silver Mark x, that would have been raced by his son Ken(neth), I took photos of it at Silverstone in 2003 but it didn't have a registration number on it.

sounds like the same car, as it didn't have a number displayed when it was in the showroom.

Would be interesting give a look to those immages from TV Anglia. Anyone have got?
