Hamilton showed what a real gearbox problem is - a box full of neutrals!

You can tell by Mark reaction in the podium that he doesn't feel completely happy, because Vettel let him win or because the win is only because Vettel had a problem in the car.
That is exactly why he isnt happy. He wanted to outperform Vettel, not have a failure gift him a win.

Yeah, he looks really upset...

Agreed, its impossible that Ted Kravitz couldve gone in his role as pitlane reporter and then told him
Just imagine if Lewis had made Vettel's Senna comment. His detractors would be all over him.
Only the stupid ones. Vettel was laughing as he said it.

He'd be stoned and probably have a thread set up about how arrogant he is and how he's such a baby

huh?it's Ham's that he broke, not Webbo's.
Massa broke Lewis's, Seb's AND Bruno's gearbox, didn't you get the memo?

Shameful really considering team orders are allowed. At least be honest about it. And a driver that has shown real ability all season has been bumped down to 4th in the championship.

it is F1 thoughWhat's the point in making such a spectacle out of it if there wasn't a real problem?

Too convenient... at first I thought it was for real, but after it worked for another 50 laps without losing any time to the Ferrari or McLaren, I call BS.

Yes, a driver going from being 1.1 seconds per lap faster than his teammate to a few tenths faster than the Ferrari is proof there was nothing wrong with the car.

Broken gear box:
So, just so happen, a brand new gear box would have such a "serious" problem. And by some miracle, it's so perfect that it's a problem severe enough that he can't keep the lead but can comfortable keep the rest of the competition behind with a healthy gap.
Conspiracy:
First, one need to assume that RBR is even interested in letting Mark win
then you have to assume RBR would rather go through such a lengthy complicated "team order" while normal proper "let him pass" team order is perfectly legal now.
mhmmm both scenario suck, I guess I will just classify this to "**** happens" like last race

Oh gosh and I thought one could not come up with more emberassing posts after reading through the tyre failure thread.
Yes, it was all done to hide a now legal teamorder to make Mark happy. Clever, very clever by RBR.

Better yet, some lunatic already said the dialogue about Senna and the whole incident as pre-planned? Sour grapes much?

Could we just have a "Was it broken?" "Yes/No" poll?
Completely believe it was broken, why wait until now to help Mark?
He has hardly had any opportunities to "help" Mark. Until now there had only been two Red Bull 1-2s, and both of them were while Vettel was still chasing the points needed for the championship.
Webber hasn't been in a position to profit from team orders post-WDC until today.
And boy, did he profit. Intriguingly, Button and Alonso couldn't...

Vettel had almost no oil in his gearbox, but hey clearly the engineers told him to short shift for no reason!

Finally a sensible post. It is clear that Seb read about Senna and came up with his engineers with a brilliant idea to make him look more Senna-like. Sadly instead of getting the gear box stuck in the last part of the race they engineered a problem with shortshifting in the second and third gear from lap 15 onwards. Later they had to extend it to every gear. Clearly a fail by Seb and his part of the garage to do a Senna.

Yep, it was amazing how Button was over a second a lap faster than Vettel at the end with clear air when Vettel was nearly 2 seconds a lap faster than him before his problems.
What a conspiracy.

We need a poll for most heroic drive.Who cares, he feels "like Senna in 91" !
[ ] Senna '91. Passing out, cramps, can hardly raise trophy.
[x] SV 2011. Has to press the flappy paddles a bit earlier to let Webbo win.

Please make that poll. We need it.
