Anyone seen WTCC yesterday? Muller is such an idiot. He could have overtaken without hitting Engstler. Deserved drive trough in my book.

Now, I'm not sure he really tried to overtake the BMW at this time, or more like he tried to go in the small place then thought it wasn't the right time but was too late to avoid touching him
Anyway, it cost him much and it will make the end of season more exciting

It's not the first time he has done exactly this manoeuvre this season, so, yes, he is an idiot if he thought he could get away with it. From the in-car, it looked pretty deliberate.

Sonoma is a great track for this sort of car, but what a pity that the audience seemed to barely reach triple figures. No point taking these championships all the way to the USA if they are just not interested.

I hope they will come back here, but it might be better with the Nascar layout, or at least drop the chicane, always thought it was useless and it removes overtaking possibility at the hairpin

Exactly. He got clobbered with a DT for doing the same thing at the Slovakia Ring, yet he did it again. So either he doesn't learn or he thinks he is above the rules. Either way, idiot.

Well, the punt in Slovakia was blatantly deliberate. He came from way back and simply didn't brake and used Michaelsz's BMW to slow down. At Sonoma, it was a little more subtle, but the in-car showed that he stuck his nose inside Engstler, who was on the normal racing line. Muller wasn't. Perhaps he hoped that the BMW would run wide and let him through, but it looked pretty much like a good old Matt Neal style inside punt. I used to respect Muller but since he has been top dog at Chevrolet, he seems to think he is entitled to win every race and that others are just obstacles to be punted out of the way. Now he has compromised his championship bid, so I say again, idiot.

After finishing his rookie season in the IndyCar Series in a 12th overall position, Rubens Barrichello continues to race the rest of the year in the Brazilian Stock Car V8 series. The 40 year old ex-Formula One star has signed a contract with Medley/Full Time.

Barrichello will make his official debut in the “Race of the Million” but rumors say he might already debut during the Curitiba event on the 21st of October.

Yeah I spent half the race thinking "Wow! These cars look soooo good around this track." Which isn't my usual reaction to WTCC cars That looked so much fun (if bloody difficult). And the elevation changes...Strange it produces such crap Indycar racing.

Surprised anyone in the US has even heard of the WTCC though, so a weak crowd was unsurprising.

The race wasn't even broadcast in the USA, let alone advertised. It didn't have a chance.

In fact, the only reason I know of WTCC is because of RACE 07.

Now it's becoming to be ridiculous. Stewards don't even try and hide how they favor Muller. First they put his mistake on the account of Michelisz and then turn blind when Yvan puts in an errant manoeuvre like a 8-year-old karter.

I don't know if it is always the same stewards but Muller got a deserved drive through when he hit Engstler earlier this year.

The press conference was gold as well. Huff happy as a little child on christmas day and Muller and Menu didn't say much.

Menu was pissed and Muller was mad at the reporter for the previous interview attempt.

Still can't understand what he was thinking

Looks like Chevy pulled out at just the right time with Muller becoming a liability in the last part of the season and drivers falling out with each other. Bravo to Huff, the most deserving of the three this season despite trying to throw it away in race one.

Also, how hopeless was Carlton Kirby? Blatantly making stuff up all day long.
