Hello guys,
Only new here, but may be able to help with Pat's whereabouts in early '75. From what I have read here, it must have been after Daytona '75. Pat returned to Australia with Gregg Hansford and Warren Willing, firstly staying in Sydney with Warren and bringing the mentioned Coleman 'put-together' Suzuki waterbottle, which was stored in the Adams and Sons workshops in Guidford (Sydney). I remember taking Pat to Oran Park on a few occassions for pracrice and tuning. Pat couldn't wait to get out of his leathers on each occassion so he could go to the centre of the track and practice his new found love, boomerang throwing.
The boys flew to Brisbane, and I transported Pat's Suzuki and Warrens TZ to Greggs place in Bardon (Brisbane) for a meeting at Lakeside. After the Saturday practice Gregg couldn't wait to take all the boys for a spin around the track in his new and very rare Ford Falcon Phase 4, they did about three laps before the police intervened and put a stop to any frivolity. A party ensued that night at Donny Pask's place followed by a card game back at Greggs. After winning many hands of 'on-the-bus' and far too many beers, the next morning check of winnings confirmed the recent Daytona visit, as all I had was a pocket full of nickles and dimes. Pat raced well at Lakeside but was left short by an old and unreliable TR750, I believe this may have been Pat's last visit to Australia, we all greatly miss his friendship and boomerang throwing prowess.
