Just in on a Dutch tv show. Jos Verstappen seems to have been arrested after having assaulted his current girlfriend several times. He apparently has done the same to previous girlfriends and his ex-wife.

His current girlfriend (or probably ex- now...) has gone to the police after he let her get out of the car after a holiday and deliberately* drove into her.

No written source yet, will post when it's available.

* (Although with Jos, can we be sure it was deliberate and not just bad driving? )

Obviously, Sandtrappen's car wasn't equipped with Schumacher's traction control.

Apparently she forgot who the boss was.

All jokes aside, this is not the first we've heard about this.

Shock horror, Jos beats up another woman! The guy has been a known wife beater for a very long time. He needs to learn that when arguing with a woman, it is different to arguing with a man in two ways.

1. The use of logic is pointless.
2. When logic doesn't work, you can't just have a fist fight to sort it out.

Didn't he get arrested for smashing some poor guy in the head in 2000? He's a nasty piece of work.

Looks like that second '94 Benetton seat was thoroughly cursed.

A quick search of the news via Google.nl reveals this source.

Well, yes and no. Yes, because he is a wife beating bastard, but no because there are no fia regulations prohibiting beating up women, and he was a crap driver. The only drivers that you can legitimately hate are very good f1 drivers that also break fia rules.

Alonso, Hamilton, Prost, Senna, Schumacher etc.

:rotfl:

Jos should learn that women always have the last word in an argument. Anything a man adds after that is the beginning of a new argument.

Haven't seen frans lately by the way, since he started that last Jos thread - don't throw stones in glass houses frans

Yeah it's in various newspapers and sites now.
Apparently he got in a fight with his 24 y/o ex-GF at 3.30AM in Roermond and repeatedly ran into her with his car.
She had to be treated by ambulance workers on bruises and scratches while the police searched for Verstappen.
This morning he reported himself with the police and was immediately arrested.

He's been convicted for domestic violence and stalking his ex-wife some time ago also he allegedly was involved in a violent dispute in a Dutch hotel with the above mentioned 24 Y/O recently.

Guess innocent until proven guilty goes for cr@p drivers as well but if this is true I hope we never see or hear from this A'hole.

He is very likely to be guilty. He already has at least one conviction for assault, when he and his father had an arguement with a man at a karting track in 2000 and hit him on the head with a metal bar. Fractured his skull I think.

Oh there's much more, he has been in trouble on/around karting tracks many times and lucky for Jos often people don't care enough to press charges.

Here's the "great" man in action near a German kart track:

Irvine does not merit being added to this crime spree list for traveling 30 on a scooter without a scooter license.

JJ okay. Verstappen heads it though. He should be heaped with scorn all by his lonesome. He has a history of doing this and he should be tossed in the klunker for it.

No his son's career is still promising as he's doing quite well but I guess his current kart team and possible future racing team will ask for dad Verstappen to take a back seat.
It's probably even better for the kid to have a loser like Jos out of the way.

This is all very sad to read about.

Please explain what is sad about garbage, with history in domestic violence, being arrested. It's more like "yippee-kai-yay motherfuc*er" moment than sad.

His sons promising career is now over then :(

Is it the career in beating women? I can see how his possible career in beating women could be over.

I read it as it's very sad to see this sort of thing still going on, in particular when the person in question has led a life for the most part in the public eye and thus carries more responsibility as an example to others.

That was Shumacher.

I'd always given Jos the benefit of doubt, but now........

Regardless of the 'wifebeater' nametags, he's proved without a shadow of a doubt that he is in fact, as mentioned by someone here already, simply a nasty piece of work.

Hey - Im 41 and my girlfriend is the same age as Verstappens. Whats with the "age racism" here? Jealous? ;)

Anyway, Im sure this wouldnt have happened if she had made him enough sammiches.

And in seriousness, I think the poor guy needs some anger management. Obviously a troubled soul.
