Trying to help Arnie Black of Crossle fame here;

Does anybody have an entry list and more importantly, results for an event - possibly at Goodwood in 1966?

It was a BARC event for Sports Cars under 2 litres & there were 4 or 5 Crossles racing, one driven by Brian Nelson. There were a few other notable entries, including Mike Parkes in a Ferrari.

Thanks for any help or pointing in the right direction....

by an odd co-incidence, I happen to be sitting here looking at a 1966 Goodwood programme, which I just came across in the loft.

That's the good news....

The bad news is, it doesn't appear to be the event you are looking for.

Still, we can rule out the Whit Monday meeting on Monday 30th May '66, as there were no Crossles in the sportscar event. Interestingly, there were no cars over 2000cc in the class for 1151-3000cc cars

The place to look for information about Goodwood is, of course, Robert Barker's Record of Motor Racing at Goodwood.

I think you may be talking about the Lavant Cup at the 1966 Easter Meeting. there were five Crossles entered:

Mevyn Wingfiel (Team Supertune Ireland) 9S BMW
Jim Cooney (team Supertune Ireland) Ford, type not specified
John L'Amie (R Ashcroft Racing) 9S BMW
Brian Nelson (R Ashcroft Racing) 9S BMW
John Pollock (R Ashcroft Racing) 7S Ford

All non-started, as did Mike Parkes in a Dino 206. The winner was Mike Spence (Parnell BRM).

Does Robert Barker's Record of Motor Racing at Goodwood list all entries to all the events run at the circuit, if not what does the book include?............Martin

That's definitely the event, Roger as Nelson, Pollock and L'Amie were all mentioned. I'll pass the information on, thank you.

The results for the event were as follows:

1st Mike Spence (Parnell-BRM) 30m 55.6
2nd Tony Dean (Brabham-Climax) 31m 00.6
3rd Mac Daghorn (Felday-Climax) 31m 05.4
4th Mike Beckwith (Willment-BRM) 31m 11.0
5th Geoff Breakell (Brabham-Climax) 32m 16.0

There were no other finishers in the class, Max Wilson (Brabham-Climax), Tommy Webber and Mike Garton (both in Vegantune Loti) all retired. Another five cars from the <1150cc did make it, Jim Morley in a Lotus 23 a lap down being the best of them. Bob Anderson 3rd in class in an Aurora BMC. Spence incidentally stalled at the start and came from last to first...
