Email just popped into my Inbox promoting this year's Castrol Grand Prix Predictor game. Looks like they've given the it a bit of a makeover and added the ability to create leagues.

With that in mind, I've gone and created our very own Atlas F1 league.

All you need to do, apparently, is click this rather long URL: http://predictor.aut...f2016fbefded1ca

Oh, and predictions for the Australian Grand Prix can't be made until March 7th.

I'm in - I'd already set my account up to join my work league!

I notice that one of our competitors is named "Unsuitable Team Name"... I'm wondering whether this was really what they tried to name their team or whether they've just had their first choice refused!

Not a clue. I don't have any real privileges having started the league to see if that's the real name or not. Speaking of which...

I do have the option to disclose people's full names within the league table. Good idea, or just stick with the team names?

Up to 22 now...

The bottom two drivers on the league table are going to feel a little lonely unless there are a few more entries!

I'm sure with a bit of push we can get it up to a nice round figure like 25...

By the way, don't forget that unlike most of the games in this forum, you can change your predictions up until five minutes before Qualifying...

If you think that the pace shown in practice is real, you can base your predictions on it!

It would be nice to know who represents each team because the team name doesn't always have our forum name.

For example, my team is mioli RACING.

Biggest scorer for the Chinese Grand Prix was Gracing who scored 76 points and moves up 11 places to 4th position in the table.

NHM has been toppled from the top spot (scored 35 points) and has been replaced by Northern Racing who scored a solid 59 points.

Full details (and where to join in) can be found here.

Why didn't I get a points from Bruno Senna gaining the most places during Chinese GP?

Do "positions gained" refer to something other than to difference between starting position and finishing position?

Wahay!

My figures this week are a bit flattered by the fact that I chose to take the 40 point "Don't pick the winner" bonus. Everyone can get this once in the season by not picking the last race's winner in their top 10, and I decided that it's unlikely we'd have another winner who was as unlikely to do well the following week as Alonso...

Explain that one again? You got 40 points for incorrectly guessing who'd win the race?

No - that would be rather easy! You get a 40 point bonus for excluding the LAST winner from your next top 10.

So because I didn't include Alonso in my top 10 for the Chinese Grand Prix, I got 40 bonus points. If you don't include Rosberg in your top 10 for the Bahrain Grand Prix, you'll get a 40 point bonus.

You can only get the bonus once per season, though, so I won't get another bonus if I leave Rosberg out this week!

Hi - I'm NMH, by the way.

I sort of joined by mistake - I clicked the link out of curiosity and it joined me straight away. Hope you don't mind a newbie in the league!

Why is this thread so quiet?

I've taken the lead in the Atlas F1 League after scoring huge 115 points for the last GP. I personally think that GtR is better balanced. I was never looking like close to lead the Atlas F1 on Castrol GP Predictor but I've scored as many points in 1 race as I usually score in 4 races. But since I lead the league, I don't care that much. :cat:
