Hi all,

I am sorry to interrupt and to open a new topic on my first day here. But I searched and I found nothing here nor internet in general. I found some posters from a dude called bapom or something like that -but they seem to be fake. Also there are some on flickr but they are all too small

I am looking for a decent size images of a vintage program covers, mainly grand prix but also sportscars and motorcycles races, lets say 843x1293 or something like that in .jpeg format

can that be found?

thank you

I am interested expecially in 30s era

but also 50s and 60s are welcomed

Thank you!

Why do the covers with drawings or paintings look so much more attractive than the ones with photos?

I think the 'bapom' covers found will be ones meant for use in race sim games (in particular Grand Prix Legends, but maybe other games too, I'm not sure).
They are (at least mostly) based on real programme covers, but resized and cleaned up in Photoshop or whatever, and perhaps some are created from scratch too (again I'm not sure).
So yes, if it's the real covers you're after, best to consider them as 'fake'.

For motorcycle racing program covers, you can see them on this site: http://www.motoprogs.../html/index.php. The posted images are small, but there is an e-mail contact and they might be able to provide you with larger images.
