A WATN contributor has alerted me that he has a number of items from an estate that he has inherited available which he is looking to sell. If anyone is interested in the below, let me know and I'll put you in touch with him. He is planning these items to sell on Ebay as things stand.

1930-1948



1931 hand colored framed photograph of poison lil when new 10”x14”

2 Legion Ascot participant identification ribbons

1934 AAA contest board brass tag stamped PC ! with Weirick Sparks names (Al Gordon driver) Needs restoration

1930 & 1933 AAA contest board racing licenses

1931, 1933 & 3-1935 Legion Ascot programs

Coast Auto Racing Vol 1, No. 1 Poison lil driven by Al Gordon on front page

1931-1936 Misc. original photos of Poison lil, Al Gordon, Rex Mays, 2-man Indy car & Sparks Weirick race shop

1931-1948 Misc. copies of many original photos to fill in visual information when I was not able to purchase the original.

(All above photos came from Paul’s personal photo album or a private collection. Many have never been published)

1946 hand written log book, mid west trip. Drivers- Duke Nalon, Emil Andres & George Robson. Includes entries regarding repair costs, winnings, locations, drivers, dates, tracks, etc…

New in box Rex Mays plastic toy car based on Sparks little six Indy car

That 1946 Log Book could have clues to some of the races which have some results missing'

Suspects a lot of the stuff is out of my price range. :cry:

Mr Jenkins any idea when the ebay sales will start since this will be interesting to monitor?

Hi Paul,

I'll let you know as I want a couple of the photos in the auctions as well. Some very rare chaps in there. Should be quite soon.
