What Magazines had the best write ups on early sports car racing?

I am interested in the years 1982 and 1983.

1982 Donnington Sports Car Championship? Pete Hall...Andy Rouse...Gerry Marshall...Trevor Lewis

1983 Uniroyal Tyres Production Sports Car Championship...Gerry Marshall...

Thank you, Jim

A pedant he say that The Autocar had excellent coverage of early sports-car racing (e.g. 1920s Le Mans, Ards TTs, Mille Miglia and Targa Florio).
However in modern times (and I think most of us here regard the 1980s as that) Autosport and Motor Sport would have been the more useful magazines.

I doubt that these two series made it into Motor Sport but certainly Autosport and Muttering News would have contemporary reports.
