If funding and location weren't a limitation, what would your dream motorsport experience be like. If it'd involve
any greatly admired driver/s who are currently deceased, feel free to still mention it.

Probably a ride with a Group B rally car along the late 80ies Monte Carlo stages in a snowy winter. The question just is Ascona, 037 or Quattro - all of them probably. Driver choice would be Röhrl, Blomquist ...

Being the guy to fire Whitmarsh and Button...

I kid.

Non driving experience - being on the pitwall of a team at the last race of the season with 3 other drivers being able to win the title as well as their guy. Going through the weekend, the stress of the race, and only in the final 2/3 laps getting the position you need to secure the title... and the emotions of all involved would be awesome to experience.

This one's easy, I'd want to spectate!
Fangio Clark Stewart Schumacher Senna Prost Moss Alonso Vettel Hamilton & Raikonnen all in lotus 49s (with on board cameras) with aqualifying lap and race. The track is unimportant, but let's say Spa in its 1970 layout.

Besides that being the greatest race of all time it would finally settle that infernal who's the fastest driver debate once and for all! (until the next one comes along)

If driver safety could be guaranteed I'd also love to see a motogp race around the Isle of Mann

2. Le Mans, as Peat said

F1, full wintertesting and developing procedure: working with a topteam to enter the grid and fight for the win for at least one race. If oldskool, then I have to say I really like the cars between 2002 and 2004.

Follow a full F1 season, staying at nice hotels, helicopter transfers and enjoy a lap of each track with a top driver in a two-seater F1 car.

I'd love to follow the F1 circuit for an entire year armed with a very expensive camera, with full access to all teams' garages and PR facilities and all spectator and photographer areas at all tracks. I'm not asking for too much, am I?

1- Drive a state of the art Formula One around Spa for as long as I wanted [or was fisically capable of].

2- Drive a Citroen C4 and a Lancia Delta Integrale WRC in Finland, Monte Carlo and Portugal rally specials.

3- Go alongside Sebastien Loeb/Kimi Raikkonen/Juha Kankkunen/Sebastien Vettel/Marcus Gronholm/Max Biaggi/Michael Schumacher/ In whatever car/bike they wanted to take me.

4- Go alongside Jari Mati Latvala just for the thrill of the crash.

1.- Driving around Macau in a F3 and winning it.
2.- Drive a F1 around my home track (Barcelona) alone as many time I want or (physically) can.
3.- Being a passenger (not co-driving) in a gravel stage with a rally legend: Loeb
4.- Go back in time and being able to watch live, in the racetrack, a F1 race like Suzuka 89, or Dijon 79, etc.

A total fantasy option - I'd love to take the best of today's drivers back to race a season in the 1960s on the epic tracks and with the comparatively stone age cars and just see how they would perform.

Something that could happen now, I would love to be an official team photographer, perhaps for Mercedes group so it would cover F1, DTM and other series.

In F1, drive the Japanese Grand Prix in the second Ferrari F1-2000. Fantastic car, great track, great atmosphere and an incredible moment in Ferrari's history.

Outside of F1, and I note that I would never dare do this, but the pre-World War II landspeed record attempts featured some of the most insane and awesome cars of the period. The craziest of them might just be the Mercedes-Benz T80, which never made the attempt due to the German invasion of Poland.

Surely one of the drivers would already have quite a big advantage? ;)

As for me, I would go back to the late summer of 1991, walk into the Cosworth factory and send Eddie Jordan a memo that the upgraded engine specification for the next next race at Spa-Francorchamps has much higher oil consumption than before, so don't forget to put some extra oil in the engine! Or something like that...

I'd do a 6-month motorsports tour of Europe, with attendance split between the F1, MotoGP and World Endurance championship, with some DTM/BTCC, Rally and other series thrown in on odd weekends.

This year it would look like:

29-Apr: MotoGP Jerez
05-Apr: 6-hours of Spa Francorchamps
06-May: MotoGP Estoril
13-May: F1 Catalunya
20-May: MotoGP Le Mans
27-May: F1 Monaco
29/30-May: Isle of Man TT
01/02-Jun: Isle of Man TT
03-Jun: MotoGP Catalunya
10-Jun: BTCC Oulton Park
16/17-Jun: 24-Hours of Le Mans
24-Jun: F1 Valencia
30-Jun: MotoGP Assen
08-Jul: F1 Silverstone
15-Jul: MotoGP Mugello
22-Jul: F1 Hockenheim
29-Jul: F1 Budapest
30/31-Jul: 24-hours of Spa Francorchamps
02-05-Aug: Rally Finland
12-Aug: BTCC Snetterton
25-27-Aug: Rally Germany
02-Sep: F1 Spa Francorchamps

Incredible car, and lucky it did not make it's record attempt, as most probably it would not have stayed on land but would have recorded some "flying-near-the-ground" record.

For me, it would be a day with Ayrton Senna, Fernando Alonso, Jim Clark, Juan Manuel Fangio and Didier Pironi - all of them, in the course of the day competing in a Porsche-turbo McLaren 1985 spec a full GP at Spa, 1999 spec. (Note it would be too dangerous to have them run in a turbo at Spa 1970 or Nürburgring 1976). To complete the field, other drivers should be Michael Schumacher, Gilles Villeneuve, Alberto Ascari, Jackie Stewart, Tazio Nuvolari, Achille Varzi, Rudolf Caracciola, Bernd Rosemeyer, Jacques Villeneuve, Mika Hakkinen, Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Jack Brabham, Stirling Moss, James Hunt and Niki Lauda, all at their prime.

What a race it would be, and how interesting to have conversations with Senna, Alonso, Clark, Fangio and Pironi all at once!
