*gm starts a grassroots 'Hope for Hope' campaign to get Andrew's name listed in the OP*
What do I bring to Nascar threads to be worthy of an OP mention?
'And let's all pray that between last weekend's races and the ones this weekend, Andrew has learned to keep the drunken antics and shitposting to a minimum'.

I upgraded my internet connection just to be able to watch the Nascar races a bit better, and since then all races have been in the early morning and I couldn't watch them
Me. I still have my problems trying to guess at what time the green flag is and the countdown helps...

As in good old style rallycross wot used to be run on tarmac and mud, and I think is still run in pommieland? In the long ago days in Australia, it was basically an offseason set of races for bangers to give TV some filler. I've never thought of it as mainstream motorsport, still don't. So with that in mind, my answers would be nope, and dunno.Global RallyCross is also at New Hampshire this weekend. Earnest question: Anybody care? Is it taking hold at all?

I'll be surprised-
a) if no-one is hospitalized this week
2) anyone over the age of 14 pays attention to it
and
d) the 'series' will return in 2013.
It's like the XFL.

I thought it was **** at first, then I understood I was only watching a heat. The final was better. A little spread out but the chaos made up for it. If each one is going to be like that the format and particularly tracks may tire.
XGames was much better. Curious to see what the Loudon layout will be.

Trucks running tonight would've been great for me also. The lady and I are moving apartments on Sunday & Monday, and we are in the midst of hell boxing everything up. I'd have liked to just run the race in the background all evening.
Instead it's NPR radio.
SPEED is showing Truck practice though. Saved!

Glowing reviews do not unearth the real truth that persists beneath the soft underbelly of rock 'n roll touring. The fact is that over the last few weeks we have suffered from the worst travel karma I have seen in 35 years of life on the road.
First off our brakes caught on fire coming up I-70 into Aspen. ... We had to hitch a ride into town
2 days later our transmission blew up outside San Jose leaving us on the Interstate median where the California Highway Patrol showed up and drove us, 2 at a time in the back of a squad car, into the nearest town.
Fast forward 5 days after the required 'repairs' were done ..... we hear a large clunk...
Cue yet another roadie roadside displacement on the way to a long deserved day off.
When management decided to put us on planes for the next week instead of getting a replacement bus we arrived in Denver to find the van meant to pick us up had...you guessed it..BROKEN DOWN.
These events have conspired to transpose this once well oiled touring organization into...
THE START AND PARK OF ROCK AND ROLL.
We couldn't 'drive-by' if we tried.

What if Junior had failed a drug test? Could that be looked on as a loud endorsement to said substance; say, cocaine?
Instead of damaging Junior's cherubic stalwart image (which could lead to an economical depression in redneck flora) wouldn't it be administratively easier to legalize or even make its use mandatory?
How much would drug cartels be willing to pay for that not to happen?
OK, I jest.

The National Guard could start rationing out baggies to its recruits, Mountain Dew could go back to Coca-Colas old recipe of adding cocaine to their soft-drinks, and you'd get a deductible on your Nationwide Insurance claim if you can prove you used their VIP card to cut up lines on your dashboard.

Was thinking the exact same thing, and wondering will they mention the dirty little secret? Will they, like heck they won't.Ha they accidentally caught the 3-4 start-and-parkers pulling down pit road and into the garage on that shot.
