Probably just renting the gym from lotus
Yeah, likely. But man, just for a moment I thought... "Jaime and Kimi, Lotus F1 team"...
I'm an Alonso fan, but man, Lotus would look really cool with those two.

Are you guys sure it's a Lotus shirt? Colours are okay but I, frankly, can't really see what's written there.
100% Lotus - no doubt about it.

My iPad, in the twitter site, and here it's all blur.
It isn't the best image but you'll have to trust that it says Lotus.
Maybe he's going to take Jeromes reserve role?

Dunno, I don't really see how a reserve role could be interesting for Jaime. He's young and he needs to compete, to race. Another year driving F1 cars, but not wheel-to-wheel, even if he got a Bottas-2012-like deal, wouldn't be good for his future chances IMO. If, instead of getting an F1 reserve driver role, he decided to go to some other paid series, he could probably make good money and it would keep him sharp. It isn't the best image but you'll have to trust that it says Lotus.

Let's wait and see...

Wait did he not bring Cepsa money, which is Total in Spain...
The Total of Spain would rather be Repsol, not Cepsa. Cepsa is not even Spanish anymore.

Didn't Jaime say that he was going to actually race?

do you wear such clothing to a work place?
What is being discussed here exactly? That there's a guy wearing what is maybe a 2011 or maybe a 2012 Lotus sweater in a picture JA posted on Twitter, who isn't JA? I don't get it.
at first I also assumed that JA took a picture of some gym with a guy wearing Lotus jacket in the background.....but look closer.

I could go to the gym with Zsolt Baumgartner wearing my 2010 mclaren team sweater (don't ask! ) order some paparazzis and spread the news: 'Baumgartner is planning formula 1 return with mclaren'What is being discussed here exactly? Is that Jaime on the table that the guy in the Lotus suit is working with ?
Thats what it looks like to me. JA is laying down taking the pic w/ the Lotus guy standing over him. But obviously is a reflection since he is looking toward a mirror

Ok sorry, Cepsa belonged to Total until 2011 when it was sold to IPIC.

I see that Jaime is laying on the table and a guy in lotus teamwear standing next to him - but as it was already mentioned, that is not lotus f1 team (2012) teamwear, but lotus renault gp (2011) if he was team personnel, he surely would wear something up to date?you are not seeing what you think you see see my post above.

...exactly, so, is Jaime trying to sell himself with this picture ?.....or is he saying he has something agreed with Lotus for next year ?....reserve driver? ....second driver?....or share both rolls with Romain....this way monsieur Boullier will put some real preasure to Romain ?....nowadays and with all the respect for Jerome, nowbody sees him as a threat to take Romain´s seat....

I agree it's not definitive by any means but I think there is some intent in the image. The person wearing the Lotus top is in someway connect to Jaime, either his physio or a friend or family member I would presume. Why would they be wearing an out of date Lotus top? And why would Alguersuari show the world via twitter? I would imagine that Alguersuari would have loads of Redbull branded gear from throughout his career so if he lent someone an old top for training I would have thought it would be Redbull branded. Maybe Jaime has hired a physio who used to work for Lotus?
It was said in another forum that it's the physio that has been working with Petrov for the last couple of years (Xavier Martos), so that probably explains it.

Speaking of FI, I really hope it is Bianchi, Sutil has proved that he's just a mediocre driver. Just one thing bothers me: ok, they might want to have cheaper Ferrari engines thanks to Jules, but they already have cheaper Mercedes units thanks to Paul, don't they? And I really expect Petrov to be confirmed alongside Pic at Caterham which would be a very good choice for the team.

Darn, that's a shame. Guess whatever he was sure of in F1 fell through.
I don't think it's a shame. He counted his chickens way before the eggs hatched and too many times as well. Let this be a big lesson to others. In F1 nothing is for sure until contracts have been signed and money exchanged.

Interesting.And he's back... in DTM:
It is still hard for us non-Europeans to follow DTM with short ( < 200 km?, or they do double races again?) processional races and cars that fall apart easily, it still seems a bit like a novelty series with it's 10 rounds only -- as opposed to the robustness and seasonedness of something like NASCAR.

I think he should have stayed in single seater cars, perhaps move to Indycar for a season.

No, Christijan Albers has been in DTM before moving to F1, tooMoving to DTM is pretty much the end of an F1 future really, so don't really get this move by Jaime. Only Paul Di resta has driven DTM and then moved to F1. But in his case, he wasn't an F1 driver before, which Jaime was.
and even Schumacher drove races in the previous DTM series before his F1 career
