As always, please don't rate based on your favourite drivers position

Best Team
The strategists were the ones to make or break the race. Lotus played a great pincer game, pushing Hamilton into an early pit stop with Grosjean, followed by keeping Kimi out setting hot laps for long enough to get onto the podium. 1 point behind 2nd place in the WCC now!

Worst Team
Red Bull, very nearly lost Vettel position to Alonso and Webber finished behind Senna, three stop strategies seemed the wrong plan. Questions on whether the poor tyre life being down to the changed regulations?

Best Driver
Kimi Raikonnen, what a race from Kimi he found amazing page in the second stint.

Best Overtake
Raikonnen on Grosjean, no prisoners taken there.

Best Moment

The entire race was a delicate game of cat and mouse all over the top 10, Mclaren and Lotuses pit calls were a highlight for me, it was incredibly tense trying to figure out who would exit the pits where.

DRS & Tyres
Great from Pirelli, another race where there was a good balance between raw pace of soft tyres with durability of mediums, and the lack of overtaking added another layer to strategies.

In a sentence
Great game of F1 chess like the old days of F1, but hopefully on-track overtakes will be back in Spa :)

Please share your thoughts :)

Best Team
Tough one, Mclaren played Lewis perfectly, but ruined it for Jenson. Lotus had the fastest car but didn't win, so I will say Mclaren.

Worst Team
Red Bull, car was a lot faster than their finishing positions suggested. 3 stops were just silly.

Best Driver
Lewis, won the race in a slower car, pure perfection all weekend. Did well to maintain his tyres and lap times ahead of the faster Lotus.

Best Overtake
Raikonnen on Grosjean.

Best Moment
Lewis Vs Kimi in general.

DRS & Tyres
Great from Pirelli, but DRS pretty much pointless.

In a sentence
Tense race for Lewis & Kimi fans.

Best driver Today it was Kimi in my opinion but Lewis was the best over the weekend.
Best team Lotus without any doubt

I gave this race a 6, should have given 7 probably

Best Team
Lotus

Worst Team
Red Bull. Mediums again in 2nd stint for Webber? What were they thinking?

Best Driver
Kimi Raikonnen. Provided the most excitement. Could have done better in qualifying and at the start.

Best Overtake
Kimi on Grosjean, but that was an unusual situation in a race that hardly had proper overtakes.

Best Moment
There weren't any great moments in the race. But Kimi and Grosjean side-by-side was a heart-in-mouth moment.

Best Team
Lotus for a daring tyre strategy which, on any other circuit would have paid off. Rewarded with double podium

Worst Team
McLaren for the Button abomination. Controlling his faster oponent... So they pulled him out of the way? Daft.

Best Driver
Hamilton - blistering pace all weekend, but played a good tyre and track position game

Best Overtake
Raikonnen on Grosjean

Best Moment
Raikonnen v Grosjean -- but not much competition.

DRS & Tyres
DRS didn't play much part which was good, I suppose - but the Pirelli's yet again creatd a race where people were in tyre management for 50-60 laps. Very frustrating.

In a sentence
Lots of good strategic action, but not much derring-do on track.

Best Team
In the land o the blind, the one eyed man is king: Lotus, because they didn't **** up Kimi and managed to give him some clean air. Everyone else seemed to be aiming for the air behind Bruno Senna when calculating pit exits.

Worst Team
Mercedes' weekend was appalling.

Best Driver
Kimi Raikkonen/Lewis Hamilton

Best Overtake
Raikkonen on Grosjean, as there were no other overtaking attempts - nevermind maneuvers - of any meaning in this race (credit to Alonso though for his semi-meaningless overtake)

Best Moment

Placido Domingo's shitshow on the podium, Kimi was probably torn between the desire to leave (initially) and the temptation of throttling him (Happy Birthday Fernando!).

DRS & Tyres
DRS was useless, the tyres still so suspicious that two of the top teams gambled on them collapsing.

In a sentence
Screw this racetrack, I'd rather we have one race fewer than this.

4/10

Nobody ever had any chance of passing which ruined any tension the race would have had otherwise. Strategy was interesting for a few people like Kimi, but otherwise fairly predictable and boring. Forgettable race altogether.

Agreed. Lewis Hamilton had a great weekend, fair enough. Otherwise this was very forgettable.

This was pretty much as bad as Monaco in terms of racing. 5/10

Would it be possible to build a new section with a proper straight and overtaking spot over there? Could make a massive difference.

Lotus was good, Räikkönen was great today and the tyres did their job. Just no chance to overtake in the F1 race.

E: Oh, the best moment:

Definitely being completely stunned by the pace Kimi was able to deliver on the old softs after Vettel and button ahead of him pitted. Unbelievably fast.

Credit to Hamilton and Lotus.

This circuit though is up there with the worst (for overtaking anyway)

Best Overtake: Senna on Perez on the outside!

Dullest race of the season get's a 5 from me: no fun, rare overtakes, and not even an accident to bring some drama!

They showed Schumacher and Kobayashi passing the slowest 3 teams. But anyway, a 5 for me. It would've been lower if there hadn't been a bit of strategic intrigue. On a track where you can pass, Raikkonen may have won that race.

Reminded me of races a decade ago where the only chance to overtake were funky laps at the end of a stint, this time with Kimi playing Schumacher's part.

I gave it a 4 but in hindsight I think the most exciting part was following the live timing and it's a sign of a really dull race when staring at live timing is more interesting than actually watching the action.

When the only action replay is a Sauber overtaking a HRT, you know you have a dull race.

FOM were pretty bad, some more onboard shots would have done nicely around here.

Like Brundle said, definitely not the worst race I've seen around here.. Pretty tense stuff right up until the end

You cant have a full season of Spas and Suzukas, honestly. I like Hungarorng because its like a street circuit with run off and, despite what others say, its a drivers track to me.

My beef is with Tilke tracks that have all the room in the world and they still are cramped with all sorts os twisty and slow corners. Heck, Hungarorng arrived in 1986 and it was a whole different calendar. From 91 onwards did the new tracks become progressively poor.

Well - philosophically, we need bad races like the Hungaroring to make the others better, right?

They really need to modify that track layout if they can. In the dry, it's still one borefest.

Absolutely gripping as a Hamilton fan. Very tense.

But I'd imagine it was verging on piss boring if you didn't have a vested interest in the battle (chess-game) for the lead and wanted to see a bit of overtaking etc.

Surely there's some scope to make the track a little more "friendly" to overtaking - for example changing the last sequence of corners and extending the straight?

I can agree with that. It was still an amazing race. So tense. Lewis was simply on another level today.

No doubt most fans thought it was a dull affair but as a Lewis fan above others, it was good for me. I always have live timing on at the same time but I watch it on sky go and the pictures are about 30 secs delayed so that dont help as to me it doesnt feel "live". Lewis drove a great race and did what he had to do. Like some others have mentioned, Mclaren royally messed up Jensons race by pitting him so he ended up behind someone else on a track where overtaking is near zero. I wonder if all the strategists are involved in the after race briefing ?

Underwhelming, but lack of overtaking helped Alonso, so don't mind really.

Completely agree with this, Suzuka is almost as difficult to overtake on in F1 cars in anyway. It's a track that especially rewards fast & patient driving, strategy and a good qualifying - more than some other tracks do anyway.

Despite being a Lewis fan it was a boring race though I gave it a 6 in rating for the close battle for the spots on the podium. Honourable mention to the organisers for the hottest grid girls so far this season.

Certainly not the best race of the season.

Hamilton finished off quite nicely
Damage control for FA
Horrible weekend for Mercs
Not so good RB
Awesome Lotus, best showing so far without actually wining

Race was too strategic, little action on track. :well:

The Hungaroring always produces snoozefests, this one was true to form. Anticlimax heading into the month long holiday
