I watched this video last night and all I could think of was how come I was not there living so close to NJ.
I can't belive these guys did not advertise this event here in New York otherwise more people would have shown up.

That's the odd thing about the NJ race - it seems to be a stealth Grand Prix, with no PR, no news coverage. Red Bull run their car in NJ - it gets covered by a local station and that's it. Williams run in Venezuela and the whole world knows about it.

Is the NJ race publicity being handled by Kubica's PR team? Have they even got a website?

I'm sure the coverage would have been greater if Pastor had binned it in the tunnel.

I'd have rolled up there for sure if I knew I'd see DC and an RBR exiting the tunnel on the Manhattan side.
Damn! That would have been awesome just to hear the reverberations as he came through.

Wait, this GP isn't just hot air like every other major city street race for the last 15 years?

There's a NJ race? When? I didn't realise it was actually going to happen!

I'm so used to seeing suggestions of city races (especially in London) I just assumed the whole thing would fizzle out.

There may be sense in keeping this 'testing' out of the headlines. If they can run an F1 car in NJ without creating a lot of fuss, the rent-a-mouth locals who will want to stop the event might have problems getting support if DC doesn't upset anyone.

I never heard anything about it and I live in midtown... my girlfriend's cousin live 5 miles from where the race will be and has no idea it is going to happen.

This is curious, isn't it? I don't expect to hear much over here in the UK but you would imagine that in NJ and NY City, it would be a hot topic.

I think the point of this was to stay a little quiet/underground.

Really cool to see this though. Hope it gets the attention it deserves when the time is right
