Goodbye, goodbye.
At the risk of being banned from TNF myself, I think it an overreaction that the returning Bauble be sent packing once again. Is there not room for humour and quirkiness? He made TNF fun.
But whether some of us liked him, or some others didn't, doesn't really matter does it? I though variety was meant to be the spice of life.

As the person who encouraged Bob to return to posting on TNF, I agree wholeheartedly. If a forum nominally about motor racing nostalgia, can accept earnest discussions on obscure '50s jet aircraft such as the Short Sperrin, why can't there be room for the discussion (albeit lighthearted) of things that are actually about motor racing? There would appear to be very little that is moderate in the self-appointed "moderator" of this forum - someone who it seems would be better suited to strutting around in a black uniform with lightning flashes on the collar.

Maybe, but not enough to warrant yet another thread....

I thought that it was just me (and a few friends who have PM'd me) who felt this way. I used to belong to a photo-forum where one of the moderators (and there were two from every continent) regularly had to eat humble pie for shooting from the hip. I have no idea how this place works but perhaps there is a very fine line between moderation and dictatorship?

What EXACTLY did Bauble say which brought about this sorry situation?

Why not? It seems we can regurgitate less important issues over and over.

I can't see how this can be such an important issue on TNF.

You're free to start your Bauble nostalgia thread, but hopefully not here.

* Moderation of posts - We will edit to remove personal insults where we see them. While there are some here who believe that we should not delete or edit personal insults and the likes, we believe they are very deterring, and experience has shown that they always bring on an even worse style of posts.

You are always welcome however, to inquire why a post was deleted or edited if you don't understand it yourself. If you do not know which admin edited or deleted your post, you should contact any of us to enquire, we will respond with a reason.

Under no circumstances are you to start a discussion about it in the forum or thread itself. Firstly, it serves no purpose as no admin will respond to you publicly. Secondly, it merely instigates pointless arguments over how this BB should be run. 'how this BB should be run' is not open for debate. You can ALWAYS make suggestions (and we have a fairly good track record at listening to those who made reasonable complaints or suggestions directly) but you cannot demand, nor publicly challenge the way this place is run. Remember: this is a private service, we are not public officials and sadly or happily you do not get the chance to elect us.

Thanks 'Speedy'.
