Hopefully, he'll take a couple years off (or easy, anyway), then come back to have a proper title fight with Ogier.

Decides to go and give others a chance.

Participates only in 2/3 of the rallies.

Wins championship anyway.

I'm not sure if I would weep or laugh if that happened. Oh WRC....the state you are in...

I would give literally some amount of money to see that! It'd be great.

:D Yes, I think he would actually do that.

Wonder who will in that case partner Hirvonen at Citroen next year?

Neuville?

I've been a bit busy and missed some things, but isn't Al-Attiyah driving a works DS3 already this year?

Actually Sordo is rumoured to return to Citroen.

Good.

But as others have said, he'll probably only need to do half of them to win anyway. What better way to make the point?

Ogier could've been the next big thing. He gave Loeb some legitimate trouble. Well at least now that he's not in Citroen the probability someone's going to walk the title is rather low (lol sorry Mikko).

Now I could imagine the PCs next year. "Ah yes for the next 2 rallies Sebastien won't be participating, so it would be a good opportunity for us to close down that championship lead." Let the mice play when the big cat is away.

Good riddance. I used to be a huge fan of Loeb, but his whinging about how he would quit if rallies got any longer made me lose all respect for him.

He'll still win the title... he'll win every rally he enters, and no one of Hirvonen/Latvala/Solberg/Ogier/anyone else will be able to put together a patch of results to match him...

Latvala will still crash out of half the rallies Loeb isn't in because he's pushing too hard, Solberg will have some bad luck and still not have won since 2005, Ogier will win in the VW but like Latvala will push too hard when Loeb's missing, and Hirvonen will go missing like he's prone to every now and then...

I wonder what he will be doing next year. WTCC is mentioned as an option for 2014 or 2015, but I don't think he will just do those 4 rallies next year and nothing else (in terms of racing).

Has Latvala a contract to Ford or VW for next year?
