Best driver= Sebastian Vettel, dominated the whole weekend.
worst driver= Romain Grosjean, have to give this to him, for once again crash on the start.
Best team= Red Bull, their updates have made them the fastest team with McLaren.
Best overtake= didn't see many..but Hamilton vs Kimi was good fight.
Best moment= has to bee Kamui Kobayashi celebrating his podium finish.
DRS+Tyres= DRS zone was too short, and tyres should have more durability on them.

Best Driver - anyone from the podium, Vettel was dominant with a grand slam win, Massa had his best race in 2 years, Kobayashi salvaged his first podium under massive pressureChoose your favourite moments from today's Japanese GP, where the title has been bust right open again !
Best Driver
Worst Driver
Best Team
Best Overtake
Best Moment
DRS + Tyres
And the race in a sentence...
Worst Driver - although I haven't seen the incident fully, I think this has to go to Grosjean. like his tenth accident in just 15 races, WTF? honourable mention is Alonso, squeezing someone off and actually touching them is a nice way to mess up your WDC hopes.
Best Team - red bull, hope they got on top of their car at last
Best Overtake - hmm, not really an overtake, but maybe Hamilton on Raikkönen when exiting the pit, that was a great action from both sides
Best Moment - same, or maybe the japanese fans chanting KA-MU-I, KA-MU-I!
DRS + Tyres - they were good I think, DRS wasn't push to overtake, and the tyres held up well, they were constantly getting faster even on the softs.
And the race in a sentence... - good for the WDC

Worst Driver - Grosjean, give your seat to Kamui
Best Team - RBR
Best Overtake - Schumi on whoever
Best Moment - Kamui holding off Button
DRS + Tyres - Didn't do much
And the race in a sentence... - God not Vettel again.

Worst Driver- The first lap nutcase
Best Team- No-one really stood out. Mclaren salvaged something but Red Bull get the honours for a win, a 9th and a good step on the car
Best Overtake- Perez on Hamilton, closely followed by the Hamilton/Raikkonen battle out of the pits
Best Moment- Vettel winning
DRS + Tyres- Good. Teams are getting on top of the tyres now though in races.
And the race in a sentence... Vettel now becomes title favourite as Alonso lucks out and Grosjean looks set for another ban

Another uninspiring race in Suzuka for me. No matter how other people like this track, I find it one of the most boring circuits in current F1 from the viewer's perspective (I'm aware that for drivers it can be exciting). I'm pretty much sure that people would be talking about dropping this track from calendar if it is another Tilke ciurcuit in the country without racing tradition.
It's the ultimate qualy/time trial track but like Silverstone, so much high speed corners, its hard to stay close to pass

Worst Driver- Grosjean
Best Team- Red Bull , and Sauber outperforming their resources, again
Best Overtake Schumacher on di Resta , but also Perez on Hamilton and Hamilton on Kimi.
Best Moment- fans chanting Kamui, Kamui
DRS + Tyres- tyres ok, DRS ineffective
And the race in a sentence... Vettels championship now

Just watching the cars go around the track and seeing how close to the edge they are on such a difficult and technical course is enough for me.

Best Driver: Vettel. Flawless weekend.
Worst Driver: Grosjean or Webber, depending on what later investigation shows. What a dumb accident!
Best Team: Red Bull. Fastest car, locks out the front row and allows Webber to get back into the points after his initial problem.
Best Overtake: Perez on Hamilton was quite funny. Senna around the outside in 130R was pretty cool too. Also liked Hamilton's defending on Raikkonen.
Best Moment: Kobayashi taking third, and the crowd chanting KA-MU-I!
DRS + Tyres: Still don't like either.
The race in a sentence: 'Awesome track for quali, not so much for the race.'

Massa
Perez
McLaren
MSC/DIR
Kamui on the Podium
DRS played not a big role good. Tyres had significant degrading but not too much, so nice overall.
A spiced up purist race.

Worst Driver - Grosjean, this guy is amazing
Best Team - Red Bull, easily the best car
Best Overtake - Perez on Hamilton
Best Moment - Massa toppling over the champagne, Alonso's retirement was a shock but not a very good moment
DRS + Tyres - They were ok I guess, not been a problem for a while now
Normal race in Suzuka I guess, was worth waking up for.

- but -
I love Japan.
I am very happy for Sauber and Kamui.
- and -
then, there is Sebastian.
WDC is (unexpectedly) on a different track now, as I thought Ferrari will be in P2 (I just got drivers wrong).

For me it was probably the most boring race of the season.
Ditto. Considering the average quality of races this season. I would mark it even lower. Voted 1
Missed the early start , so waswatching recorded and had to fast forward and caught the race which was running half an hr ahead.
That was a first for me - fast forwarding a race. I think the time of narrow twisty circuits is over when the sport is so aero dependent.
Anyway , results wise it was a good race as Seb closed the gap right in but another first for me was feeling a bit for Alonso for his DNF .
We needed a closing down of points but this was extreme. Now Vettel is the clear favorite and Alonso probably wont even finish runners up.
A Hamilton vettel alonso podium would have made it more interesting

Best driver: take your pick from the guys on the podium
Worst driver: probably Grosjean
Best team: Red Bull by some margin, although Massa showed Ferrari are up there as well
Best overtake: Perez on Hammy
Best moment: Kobayashi finish or podium
DRS + Tyres: no complaints
Worth getting up for, a shame Webber and Alonso were taken out at the start

Best Driver: Massa, considering how rubbish he's been, that was fantastic from him.
Worst Driver: Grosjean, just really stupid at the start.
Best Team: Red Bull, as shown by Vettel's dominance and Webber being 20 seconds behind the last car and finishing 9th without another safety car, they were in a league of their own.
Best Overtake: I liked Hamilton/Kimi coming out of the pits, that was two half overtakes.
Best Moment: The formation lap/Crowd chanting KA-MU-I!
DRS + Tyres: A bit underwhelming.
And the race in a sentence...: Had potential to be half decent but thanks to Grosjean it wasn't really worth watching after T3.

Ie - my driver won, vote it 10, my driver DNFed, vote it 0.
We should rate the race as a whole, and not based on how 'our' faves did.

I think these polls are pretty pointless as 99% of people only vote on how their favourite driver did.

Fully agreed.
In my, case even if MS was only 11th, I rate 2012 Japanese Grand Prix as 10 out of 10. The whole atmosphere of this race was absolutely fantastic. This place keeps some special magic, plus all these Japanese F1 fans - for sure one of the best F1 fans in the world! So the only thing I regret about, that I didn't witness the race by myself (but I'm happy that at least I managed to visit Monza last month...)
