That's why I despise him. A careless, spoilt brat he is.
Would any of those drivers really care, no. Kimi says how it really is.

Why should he care? It's always a risk waiting untill the last few minutes, knowing a yellow could ruin your qualifying, mistakes happen people, get over it.

Well his whole manner was quite rude I thought; the body language, looking away all the time, terse answers, trying to walk away. I like Kimi, but this was not cool it was lacking respect, afaic.
"...what happened?"
"I spun. "
It was just too sod-off.

According to Raikkonen's fans, everything he does, says or thinks is unbelievably cool.I don't see where Raikkonen said anything wrong but I also don't understand why what he said makes him so cool either.
BTW - I am just killing time waiting on the Vettel decision.

Not apropriate, but nothing to do with respect either.Well his whole manner was quite rude I thought; the body language, looking away all the time, terse answers, trying to walk away. He did nt destroy anyone lap.If you destroy somebody's lap, you shouldn't say "I don't care".

Sounds like you have never seen an interview with Raikkonen before. He is who he is. No surprise there. Sure, comes of a bit rude. But he is honest. "Decency" or "courtesy" doesnt change a damn thing about what happened. He was most likely mad like hell at himself, so that probably didnt help his demeanor.

I would have loved to see what you thought had it been Alonso making such a comment! It's Kimi, why are you surprised? That's why he is awesome.

I don't really know about that, but I have never seen them cooing about how cool Alonso is after a rather rude reply on a live TV. Not that Raikkonen was terrible, mind you, but there is a major difference between saying "he was not that bad" and saying "he was rude, and that's awesome"I suppose Alonso's fans would have expected the corner to apologize for impeding him?

People criticizing because of him being and a-hole...Funny how people complain about drivers all talking only corporate bs and they also complain when someone is being honest.

No, you should apologize to other drivers, viewers at home and to Bernie for ruining the end of Q3. And then you should remember to thank the sponsors.

He is one of the fairest drivers out there, if not the fairest. Sportsmanship argument does not sell at all.

"all the other drivers this and that." As if this thread isnt an overreactionKimi is the most excused driver - if Alonso or Hamilton said what he said, all earth would break lose.

Why are those alternatives? It was a mistake, not the fancy way to talk after compromising his rivals.
But no big deal, his words can't change the past. As he says no point crying over spilled milk. If I were a rival I'd prefer him not to cause more yellows for a lot of gps than some nice words after doing it again. And Kimi can manage the first.

He's a breath of fresh air and he seems to be a very honest guy. Nice for a change compared to most drivers.
Posted 06 October 2012 - 11:36
Yeah I'm sure he was frustrated as hell. And is frustrated generally perhaps, because he's not quite back to where he was yet.I think that this time he was really pissed of by himself!

1) To you, but I am convinced that you do not set the standards for all F1 supporters. So yes, you can bet that some people think he is "cool".I really shouldnt get involved in this, cause I dont care one way or the other, but...
1) Does someone actually think Alonso is 'cool'? I suppose so, but he seems more of a primadonna type to me?
2) We will have to wait for Alonso to say actually something 'rude' ie. sincere and brutally honest (unless it serves their agenda). Because his type of public figures rarely do so.
3) Only Kimi haterz have said he was rude, I don't think his fans think so, therefore they don't say he was rude AND awesome. They say he's what he is, and that's cool.
4) Only the Alonso brigade (gross generalisation, I know) are saying he's rude and should apologize. See 2).

Kimi what happenned?
" I Spun"
It was like the most useless answer you can give to a question. Everybody knew he had spun so what was the point of giving a stupid answer?
I like Kimi, but he can be very cocky sometime.
