Had a quick look but can't see any comments regarding F1 watches.
If there is an existing thread I apologise, but here goes.
There is an established protocol on the podium for drivers to be handed their watches, I guess most are sponsored, if not all probably.
Lotus / Kimi / Romain : T W Steel
Sauber / Kamui / Sergio : Certina
Red Bull / Seb / Mark : Casio
Mercedes / Nico : Thomas Sabo
Mercedes / Schumi : Omega
Williams / Pastor / Bruno : Oris
McLaren / Lewis / Jenson : Tag
Etc.
Then the official timekeepers past and present Longines / Seiko ?

I was first interested when I looked at Kimi's T W Steel watch, its around £325 in the shop windows so I went in to have a look.
On inspection, it didn't seem as good value as expected ie no luminous hands, mineral glass rather than sapphire, and a cheap looking strap.
The Certina Podium LTD Edition on the other looked very nice, but then cost £1k, which I didn't want to pay right now.
A friend has the limited edition Michael Schumacher Omega with the numbers of his race wins, poles, fastest laps which at the time cost around £3k.
Does anybody own any nice motorsport related watches, or have any comments about driver's favourite watches from now or back in the day ?

My wife's wedding present to me was my TAG F1 Chronograph the 2nd generation red dial one, meant an awful lot to me and still going great 15 years later.
I had wanted one since seeing them in Autocourses and McLaren adverts from the 80's.

I seem to remember Tissot sponsorship on the Ensigns at one point. And vague recollections of Tissot on Clay Reggazoni's helmet.Had a quick look but can't see any comments regarding F1 watches.
