Are you serious? I was hoping I had seen the last of the Dinger.Jr. out, Regan Smith will fill in the next two races and Allmendinger will get his chance in the 51.
Pretty surprising about Jr.

So is James Finch just a glutton for punishment?

Sam Hornish Jr
Denny Hamlin
Beavis Kawolski ©
Kevin Harvick
Kyle Busch
On the other end of the spectrum we have Angela Cope, John Wes Townley, and Hollywood stuntman Stanton Barrett back in the field.
Way back.
I see Jeffrey Earnhardt listed also.

Is that Sr or Jr (both are Hollywood stuntmen) ?
I recall seeing Sr spin twice behind the Pace car at Montreal a couple of years ago.....

They've both raced in NASCAR fairly extensively but the younger one is the one who's raced more in the past ten years. The younger one is the NASCAR one.

Though, the Sr. one also raced some races in the "sprint" cup in the old days? I seem to recall having seen that somewhere.
Yes, I remember him being in early 1980s races...

He didn't tell anybody when he got the concussion at Kansas five weeks ago, which is probably why got this one. His hand was pretty much forced this time.I'm somewhat impressed Jr decided he needed to sit out and sought out a doctor's opinion as well. As we're seeing in other sports, concussions are proving to be more serious than initially thought. I'm sure there are many drivers that would have just toughed it out. Maybe this will start a trend of drivers being more cautious with their health. I'm also a little curious to see if NASCAR takes any measures to step up its concussion testing.

I wonder if NASCAR will make any changes to the rule about trips to the infield care center after a crash. Jr didn't have to go as he was able to drive his car back to the pits. If he had gone it might've been picked up a little earlier.

With Dale Jr out this weekend it marks the 1st time in ---> 1072 <---- races (sept 1979) that an Earnhardt will NOT be competing in a Winston/Nextel/Sprint cup level race on a given weekend .
My question is did the Petty's ,Allison's or any other family or solo family member put together as long a streak?.
Have fun.
BTW if you wanna do other series as comparisons be my guest.

mmm well it might also be because he knows he can't be champion this year so why risk it?? whereas at Kansas he was third in points but an extended break may have dropped him out of the top 10
would imagine that there will be more empty seats than usual this weekend
as for the race- anyone but Jimmie Johnson winning it- preferably Hamlin, Keslowski or Gordon

Seems like Buescher is about a year ahead of PK, right?
Report: 33 thinks he hit something.
Brad K also hit something but "it wasn't anything big, maybe a piece of Bear Bond or something"

Yeh I think Buescher is a year ahead of Piquet. A lot more experience in stock cars of course.

I beg to differ, he kind of tapped the wall then the jersey barrier.Danica 10th and... last on the lead lap! but she should soon be 1 lap down too

Also I'm not entirely sure he broke something, looks like he dipped the inside wheels on the apron but I guess we'll find out.

They tried to take it out at the last pit stop but they couldn't get it out. He's getting a little hot, not pushing water. Water at 275. Starting to lose a little power.

Was he wearing that special airbrushed POW tee shirt?PSP doing pretty well here. I'd like to know how differently Pemberton has approached the role with her compared to Eury.
