Has anyone here heard of the Captain and his association with the Bentley racers and would he have been the father of F.G Wade Palmer who after W.W 2 ran the Jack O'Lantern Garage in Romsey which specialised in vintage cars?

http://www.london-ga...s/4533/page.pdf
which leads on to this site which gives:

and this entry on The Peerage site:

which for some reason doesn't record the second marriage.

Is Capt Wade Palmer any relation to the Rolls-Royce specialist who operated in Hampshire years ago?

FUZZI.. I don't know of any military connection between Wade-Palmer and Tim Birkin but the wild fowling on the North Norfolk coast had crossed my mind. Scole Inn would have made an ideal stop over on the way to Blakeney.
The information from Tim Murray shows that there were only daughters from the Captain's first marriage but there is little info on his second; so it is possible that the proprietor of the Jack O' Lantern was his son.

Captain A N Wade-Palmer was my Grandfather, I do not know of any connection with the Bentley Boys but my Father has spoken about his cousin Fairfax (nephew of A N) who used to visit the Scole Inn owning a Bentley Blower. More info on Fairfax G Wade-Palmer to be found on www.rick-ford.co.uk
