I was looking at wikipedia today and I noticed that so far (up to the Indian Grand Prix) there have been 13 drivers on the podium this season. Is this a record?
Edit: Looks like 2008 had 14!

But I'd second-guess that you were right on this one.
There were 12 in 2009 so...

Vettel, Alonso, Räikkönen, Webber, Hamilton, Button, Grosjean, Massa, Rosberg, Schumacher, Pérez, Kobayashi, Maldonado... wow that's quite a few right there!
I also need to check 1982... oops 17 drivers (!)
But I'd second-guess that you were right on this one.

This year then? Let me see:

Besides, we have 20 races/season now. There were about 3/4 of that in the 80s and 90s.
16 in 1982 so it means the average is WAY higher than now.

Excluding the first two races of 2011, only 5 drivers finished on the podium.
5 drivers, in 17 races.
Now THAT must have been some kind of record.
In fact that streak continued through Australia this year, and was only broken when Perez finished 2nd in Malaysia.
