Also, eight different drivers winning is the highest since 2003 (also eight), with only 1975 (9) and 1982 (11) seeing more.

Interestingly the WCC gives 8 constructors as 1982 winners as Brabham-BMW is seen as a different constructor than Brabham-Ford even though it was the same team http://forix.autospo...&...amp;s=0&b=0if I am not mistaken 7 teams won a race in 1982 (Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, Williams, Lotus, Tyrell and Brabham) and there were "only" 16 races that season

A pity that Sauber was not able to score a win this year (yet).
7 teams winning would have been a perfect result for 2012.

Every 'team' (some going by different names) that has won a Constructors Championship since the 70's has won a race this year:
Red Bull
Mercedes / Brawn
Ferrari
Williams
McLaren
Louts / Renault / Benetton

Interesting fact:

Red Bull
Mercedes / Brawn
Ferrari
Williams
McLaren
Louts / Renault / Benetton
Do Mercedes/Brawn count as as Tyrell as well?
