I've just been re-watching the "Salvage Squad" Channel 4 'restoration' of John Peskett's Lola T142 F5000 car. I recall the controversy the series caused at the time but I am curious as to what happened to the car. Did it race again?

See the history of chassis SL142/36 up to 2007 on ORC:

Googling on 'Roger Deans Lola 142' throws up lots of info and photos of the car's recent activities in Roger's hands.

Thank you Tim, I'm pleased to see that the old girl was eventually properly restored and is clearly giving the owner so much pleasure. I cannot find anything under 'Search' but I'm sure I read a fair few comments on here about the quality of the 'Salvage Squad' restoration. Last night I watched the episodes of 'Salvage Squad' on YouTube and it was nice to see Keith Hollands again. Some years ago I met him a few times, a pleasant man, and he used to drive big trucks I believe. I think the last time, we stood alongside a fire breathing Rolls Royce Merlin-engined car in a yard in Wouldham, Kent, and chatted.
