A distraction for him perhaps? F1's 'megastar' of the future, with Music, Movie roles, as well as powering Mercedes to WDC and WCC
Wonder if Jacques will feature on any tracks.

Hamilton is a huge fan of poetry. He's often posting poetry excerpts on his twitter. No surprise that he would enjoy writing music. As said in the quotes by Angel, he uses it to blow of steam off the track so why not? Let him be who he wants to be and let him do what he wants to do, its his life and he certainly doesn't seem distracted to me when he's driving.

Very mature...It will give him something to fall back on once the Merc career falls apart.....
Its not a big issue, he already plays the guitar so he obviously has an interest in music, and its clearly not had an effect on his ontrack performance.
Why is this its own separate thread?

But next year he certainly wont be singing
"I'm in Love with My Car" - Queen
The machine of a dream, such a clean machine,
With the pistons a pumpin', and the hubcaps all gleam.
When I'm holding your wheel,
All I hear is your gear...

Because some people think he's about to release an album.

I don't see how can he be better than musical genious Jacques, who wrote very classy songs

Les, wasn't there, a few years back, a bloke who was a very good opera singer? (the correct answer is- Giuseppe Campari... among other notable achievemnts is winning 1924 French GP)
Yeah that's right, the poor guy was going to retire to take up opera full time but was killed in his last race.

I believe the word you're looking for is ineptitude. I correct you out of appreciation of irony rather than sheer pedantry.Considering the ineptness he's surrounded by in his day job, I'm not surprised.

I (and Google) see "ineptness" as an endemic characteristic, a trait, whereas "ineptitude" as more a real world manifestation of ineptness. So in the case of McLaren 2012 I think both are acceptable.

I and improve my offer to 225, having worked in the vicinity only yesterday I'd say it's worth a pound less.
