Think of it as an opportunity to make fun of them without the bitterness that comes with the serious threads.

Haters are gonna hate I guess but those are the most ridiculous shoes I've ever seen an F1 driver wear. I would rather wear UGGs.

Hammy is stylish I suppose but in a very trying and a little unatural kind of way.

Webber wore jeans to the monaco dinner with the prince - I'm all for casual but that's pretty damn average and a bit stupid really.

the teams have been giving the drivers plenty of fashion tips over the years. may i present: f1 style - a retrospective

in terms of drivers making their own fashion statements the genius of schumacher is well documented. that trulli pic was a new one for me though...my word.

Lewis. In his spare time he dress like any lad of the same age. It gives him a sense of normality and keeps him grounded.

I think you are confusing dressing like a Chav for being stylish.

Well when you have people like Michael Schumacher who is possibly the worst dressed man ever to grace the paddock and drivers who stroll around in jeans' hoodies, and beanies, its hard to really tell who is stylish. The paps only seem to follow Jenson, Lewis and Fernando, at least they are the ones who make the papers in western Europe, so they are the ones who are often seen in their personal wear. Its difficult to call when there are so little examples.

Schumacher still has a very '1990s' Eastern European dress sense. Some of his gear has been downright terrible.

I would agree with the general consensus on here, of the current drivers I think Jenson wins that award quite easily. He’s normally well dressed, well mannered and well spoken.

If talking old school it has to be Graham Hill. For me he epitomises what I imagine the drivers of that era were like, rightly or wrongly. Public school boys, suave, debonair playboys with a cheeky sense of humour who would be RAF fighter pilots if they weren’t racing drivers.

The poses are pretty weird but that's the preference of the photographer from previous experience of fashion shoots.

I don't think the clothing is particularly bad personally. This sort of thing is in fashion at the moment.

My definition of a Chav is the same as standard one ie: a derogatory term for a lower class British youth, typified by loutish and brash behaviour. Yes he may have exchanged Burberry for some thing more expensive, but looks a Chav none the less.

I've never seen any evidence of Lewis displaying loutish or brash behaviour in his personal life. Not all chav's wear Burberry either, well not in South Wales anyway, not since the Burberry factory was closed down anyway lol. I don't share your view on Hamilton's dress sense being similar to that of a chav either. Chav's where I am from (Cardiff) wear cheap sports gear and hang around in hoodies outside bargain booze asking you to buy them a bottle of cider because they are banned from entering. They ride around on mountain bikes spitting and attempting to stare people out who remotely look their way. Lewis doesn't wear clothes that make him look even close to this sort of social group.

I like Alonsos style. Hos dark long curly hair and sunglasses. Add a Tshirt and jeans to it. Looks really cool!

You're definitely confused with a chavs style and Lewis's. Chav's typically wear tracksuits, hiking gear for some strange reason and of course Nike Air Max's...

Lewis on the other hand dresses like any normal lad from the age of 18-30 in this current period of time. More Americanised than lads over here but still similar.

By the way Burberry isn't as common as you think with Chavs. Its more so North Face now. (This is coming from someone who lives quite close to an area populated with Chavs)

The photo shoots for PR work don't count, so I have to say Kimi. But maybe I am too subjective as I've seen more photos of him than any other driver.
His style is very simple, nothing over the top. He has great taste in choosing jeans, shirts/T-shirts. He dresses as someone between 25-35 working in motor sport and it suits him.

I'm sure we can all find picture with driver "insert name" with a terrible style choice. The truth is that for some drivers the clothes seem to fit perfectly and others seem to try too hard. You know the saying that either you are wearing the clothes or the clothes "are wearing you". Sounds a bit cheesy, but in some cases it's true.

Also I find that media try to put a label on some drivers when talking style. For example:
--> Button is always the gentleman and this is also because of his many, many photoshoots wearings suits ans shirts. But if you look at pictures of him off-duty, he's the regular guy wearing jeans and being more casual.
--> Hamilton is always referred as trying to be too "gansta" and this because of his "entourage". The truth is that sometimes he seems indeed to try too hard in that direction

---> Schumacher...well nothing much to say really, but you have to keep in mind that some of those awful photos are from the 90's and you know those years were not great for fashion :lol:

But, I find no excuse for him in keep wearing awful prints on the shirts (what is it with those shirts in Germany...I also saw that RTL guy whose doing the drivers' interviews and pit walk....terrible :stoned:

I really have a hard time looking at Button's sandals and not my gaze getting distracted in the process...the girl is a bombshell and it is reassuring to see that Webber has an eye for the real important stuff.
