I think with the progress in wheel rims and wheel hub technologies, brake ducts are becoming far less important, Ferrari only had tiny little slits last season if I remember correctly.

Like the nose, to quote John Cleese it is "wafer thin". Does the livery guy just press Control + C followed by Control + V every year or something?

Yes of course. However PCs will be for the grunty CAD, CFD and FEA engineering work.... the graphic design dept would be on Macintosh surely... so it will be Command C and Command V.;)

It looks quite nice. With the dark blue, it is hard to see too much of the shape of the car.

Gold wheels are always a classic (are you listening Ferrari ;) )

Sadly, it's irrelevant what this car looks like, it will only support the RB9 which is ultimately depressing.

How's that for a biased view?

That looks really nice, I hope Ricciardo goes really well. Up there with the Sauber as best looking car of 2013.

On the other hand the RBR is the ugliest car thus far.

Anyone get the feeling Newey has gone a bit overboard and STR will get much closer than years passed?

Not being biased but this seems like the best looking car, everything seems so neat & I hope James Key and the rest of the boys have designed a bloody fast STR8

Well you want Red Bull to win right?

Super Aguri supported Honda by both teams being rubbish. Winning is hard, so one team winning is enough really IMO.

Daniel is technically versed - he has a huge understanding of technical processes and gives superb feedback. Jean-Eric is more aggressive in the car and also in the race. If you could combine these qualities, yes, then you very likely would have a top driver.

Ah, I was saying that Daniel is technically-versed - I didn’t say that he is not aggressive enough. He also has his strong moments in the car. What is easier to adopt? That is a matter of personality - you cannot generalize that.

Q: Okay, what would you say is more important?

Well, you have to be technically versed to be successful in Formula One, but you also have to demonstrate that sort of aggressiveness that helps you overtake a competitor without losing the car. It is a learning process. No driver joins Formula One as a complete driver so this is what I say: to get into Formula One is one thing, to establish yourself in Formula One is another, and to be successful in Formula One a third. The important thing is that a driver has the potential to develop, that he is willing to deal with technical matters, that he is able to learn in the cockpit and cope with the environment around him, and then filter the important things that will bring him forward. There is no universal rule that fits all, so our job at Toro Rosso is to point out crucial things and then it is up to the driver to derive the maximum out of it and use it to his advantage. To learn the crucial things in the shortest possible time, that’s what it takes.

No STR driver wil win the title knowing Helmut Marco. it is no the car nor the team that needs to be changed.

BTW I assume that STR is ready to beat Sauber and if possible one of the top teams fails this year. Guess who that will be.

He was going fine before he had to avoid a spinning Sutil - maybe he damaged the floor when he went off track? Don't know but after that he just went backwards.

Great result for Vergne - the changes to the car have definitely worked for him :up:

Another points finish for the STR8, thought 6th was possible but not pitting put an end to that. Still an encouraging race showing that the car can keep pace with the Ferrari's and Lotuses.
