If it was 1972, it was (probably) a Mk20A, but I have in my mind Mk11A for Stevens for some reason. Didn't he hold the lap record for Formula Ford at Thruxton for ages and ages - or am I mistaken?
Once upon a time I had a book full of all results (and chassis numbers from Formula 3/Formula Atlantic/Formula 5000/Forumula 2) but, very regrettbably I have haven't seen it for about thirty years. Very depressing.

I have an Oulton programme from early 1972 that lists John in a Merlyn Mk20A, but obviously can't guarantee he was still racing the same car in October.
Yes i also have him in Merlyn's so i suspect that he most likely was using a MK20A.
As a by product of this i have started to collated race results and entries for some of the club racing of the late 60' early 70's, mainly Saloons, Mod/Prod Sports, GT'S, Mini racing and the formula races such as Clubmans /f750 /f1200, Monoposto etc.
I know that F3, AStlantic, F5000, BTCC.BSCC , Formula Junior are available on the web but its very hard to find any Club racing information.
This info would be only of interest to enthusiasts and Historian but do you guys think it would be a worth while thing to put on a website for people to find .?

I have John Stevens dowm as having raced a Jamun,a Royale RP16 & a Merlyn Mk20A during 1972-colour red entrant /sponsor Crispi Crisps.I was at that meeting Brands Oct 15 but sadlly no longer have programe.
At Brands in Nov 1972 i have John Stevens entered by Motor Racing Stables in a Royale RP16 so it is possible he was in a Royale that day.

Thanks Simon but i already have it hence the query , Stevens entry is pen written over an original entry for car no 34, in place of Tony Roberts entry.

Pete - I am fairly certain that John Stevens was an instructor at MRS - possibly, even, the senior instructor at one time, although I know the likes of Lanfranchi were sometimes involved.
