Pretty neat footage I ran across from 1958 Road America June Sprints. Apologize in advance if this has already been posted here elsewhere

Great video, thanks for posting.
The VW hauler at 6:22! It looks like it's been shortened, no?

Great film!

Porsche 1-6!! Mackie will be in a puddle...

Love the tongue work of our hero...maybe he forgot to hydrate.

Wonder if the two-up car was a camera car or driver under observation?

It should be pointed out that this is not the 1958 Road America June Sprints, but rather is the 1959 June Sprints.

There are a number of tipoffs during the film, but the clincher is that the winner was Harry Blanchard in a Porsche. Blanchard won the June Sprints in 1959.

Not Chad's error; the clip is captioned erroneously on the web site.

Chad and Tom:

This footage is not only the 1959 edition of the June Sprints, it is a combination of the 1959 June Sprints and the September 1959 500 Miles.

The Cunningham Listers did not participate in the June Sprints.

Yes, I had noticed that. The large majority of the 28 minutes or so that the film lasts is about the 1959 June Sprints small production race, but, as you say, if you keep a sharp eye every now and then a scene from the 1959 RA 500 sneaks in. A bit jarring, if you are paying attention, but I daresay most people who view it will not catch those splicing/editing errors.
