Getting that downloaded as an .MP4 before that becomes unavailable too.
R.E. The interview, I thought it was pretty shocking what Piquet said about Senna, something like:
"People ask me, who was better; me or Senna, I say 'I'M STILL ALIVE!!!' hahaha"

I don't think it's shocking, more like consistant. He's always been like that, and not only when Senna is the topic.

It's still a harsh comment though, even the interviewer said so.
Maybe, but you'd only be surprised if you didn't know much of the man to begin with. That's his "style" since... forever.

He says what he thinks, not what he knows people want to hear. I didn't like that comment either, but his forthrightness is what makes the interview interesting.
Mansell refers to charitable donations, and involvement with road safety campaigns. To my mind, trying to equate his CART championship win to his F1 WDC is also self aggrandising. His whole contribution sounds less authentic than Piquet's and more like PR to me.
I liked their discussion of which were the best tracks, and that they seemed in complete agreement.

Black humour, but still a joke.
Fate is... both Piquet, Berger and Senna crashed at Tamburello.

The Piquet/Mansell interview was the best F1-related thing I've seen in years. As a huge Piquet fan, I know I'm biased, but they both gave honest answers about their time in the sport and the way things are today. It was fantastic.
I never liked Piquet but I have to say that it was an awesome interview and F1 would be so much better today if we had a personality like him around

Have you seen the whole interview ?I don't think it was a joke, they didn't like each other.
After 25 yr not seeing each other, after a cold start, the mood got better and Mansell was also trashing Piquet like "the problem is that you always think with your butt".
In the end Mansell was tapping Piquet's back, shaking hands, etc.

A breath of freshness, authenticity and originality - and that from drivers from more than two decades ago.... Two drivers who were not my absolute favourites back then - yet: there is so much depth, so much understanding and so much raciness.

I think he meant that Piquet didn't like Senna and vice versa, which is true.
On the point you made, they did seem to get on a lot better than I would have thought. Both agreed that neither of them had caused deliberate collisions to win a championship, for example, leaving the heavy implication that they disapproved of some who had done so.
I got the impression that Mansell's experience being teamed with Prost put Piquet's behaviour in some context. Also, they both seemed happy to acknowledge that it was every man for himself back then, and that some gamesmanship was to be expected.
At the end of the day, they can both look back on very successful careers.

Nice to see those moments of understanding, like when they're describing the fun, fast tracks, and the high five for being alive.

Mansell remained silent, but punted Senna out of track at Portugal finishing his WDC chances that year. Oh, and Mansell was already black flagged when he did it.
So some people SAY... and some people DO.

I forgot about that one but, in general, Mansell was fair on the track too. The Portugal incident cannot be excused, but I don't think it was pre-planned or motivated by WDC considerations. I'm a Piquet fan, so I'm not going to defend Nigel too much. I don't know what got into him that day.

Pleasure! Very good interview. Piquets english was never his strongest asset. Shame really since I think he could have offered more in his native language.
I though Mansell was typical Mansell, bit too much self promotion however very gracious and a typical English gent. These guys certainly were the gladiators in the golden age of F1 imho.

no way, there is no draw in racing, unless they do 2 races... but would be total crap.I don't think the times were so close, in reality I doubt it.

0.24s is not that close, it seems possible to me.

working 15 years with this kind of people I know that they can f... it up a good idea.
Maybe they wil finish the video with both going just before the checkered flag.
I've got a bad feeling about this ad.

It's a TV ad....I think your taking this a little to seriously. I think Piquet is more concerned about when his check will clear than if he "wins" or not. Nigel.....since he reminded us how wonderful he is, will of course give his check to charity.working 15 years with this kind of people I know that they can f... it up a good idea.

Thanks Watkins74,
yeah maybe I'm taking this too seriously. For sure Piquet is more concerned about the money than the win, he needs to pay Piquet Jr. Nascar bills.
part 3 was boring for sure. Maybe for me was because I tought they would release only 3 videos.
This is just an ad but Piquet x Mansell reminds me of my adolescence, I would like to be there to see them banging the cars like some Nascar racing for the last time.

There was no subtitles for Piquet because it is a Brazilian commercial.you can always put the subtitles. ^^
BTW - People get such a woody about the current drivers changing their helmets almost every race now. I love how instantly recognizable these two helmets are in these ads.
edit: Thank you Kyo.....I never knew that.

Really suprised me, well done, and the actual race result second to the great voice overs in the end.
Yeah this was what surprised me too. When the ad ended I was more touched by the pictures and voice over than the race.
A very good tribute to these two of the greatest F1 racers.
