Just wondering if anyone has an entry list for the 12 September 1953 at Goodwood. In particular, I'm looking for a mention of H.F Day competing in his AC. Apparently it is mentioned in Robert Barker's book: A Record of Motor Racing at Goodwood, but I don't have access to a copy.

Any help would be much appreciated!

He gets a mention in a paragraph about the race, leading initially before being overwhelmed by others. Autosport 18.9.53 page 368. Not featured in the results.
PM me if you wish with e mail address and I will happily scan it for you.
I have not checked in relevant Motorsport.

Similarly mentioned in Motor Sport. It was a handicap race and he was the limit man.

Thanks to both of you for your replies. That's great news. Fortunately I have access to the complete Autosport and Motorsport archives so will look up the relevant issues to tomorrow when back in the office. Thanks again. Now if only I could find some photos of the September event. I'm fortunate to have one of him competing on 25 July 1953 but not the September event.

Thanks to your replies as well as some more information from Robert Barker, I've been able to find the relevant mentions in both Autosport and Motor Sport.

I also came across a mention for HF Day coming third in a point-to-point rally and amazingly stumbled across a letter from ACOC member George Grigs... see below. More for the history file! Thanks again.
