2-step Bump Wheelspin Scaletrix Motorsport - Another bonus livery, if I don't change my mind...

My way to bump this thread, which will sink into oblivion like an anvil pretty soon. :p
Gotta love these Nipponese characters. Kind of reminds me of Mclaren's West liveries, in a way.
Changed the template a tiny ditsy bit to invent the 2-step. You won't see that @ any other launch!


Do I smell a winner? We should send this to FIA to tell them what we think of their bumpy noses...

I work in advertising and submit a lot of work for award shows. There the rules are extremely simple (just like here) and if you don't adhere them you're out. It's not as if they did that on accident. I could spice things up as well, but I didn't.

Thanks for the pics DampMongoose. Yeah it's merely about the background there. The question only concerns the submissions of the9th, Cool Beans Puma liveries and maybe Risil's crushed Jacques Villeneuve.

"Don't change the design of the template" surely refers to the template itself, and not the white space around it? Though by the same logic it'd be fair to disregard how attractive/unattractive the background is when judging the best.

Anyway I think you're changing the rules cause you don't want Bizarro-Jacques to win. Like in that episode of The Simpsons when they disqualify Lisa from the beauty pageant because on the part of the application form that says "Leave this space blank" Homer wrote "Okay". :p

I don't see a problem with Risils Jaques car it uses the template and just happens to be upside down...sort of, or not depending how you want to see it??? However disregarding the background would take some doing because without the reference Risils car would look nuts!

If we're going to pretend to be professional design people about this, even more will be disqualified. You wouldn't have the Orange text in black, for intance.

Come on, Jovanotti..
By template, I think we're talking about the shapes of the bodywork. I may have tried to add some tridimensionality to it, but it strictly adheres to the design you specified. If you wanna be picky, DampMongoose would also fall short to the plate because he uses another iteration of that design. I have no problem with the other submissions, anywayz. As you can you see, I'm happy to just participate. :cool: Although I'd like to see my designs suck in a pool, where the fish has got it nailed.;)

For the purpose of clarity, I resubmit these two liveries, with only a blue tinge for background.

I should also be sanctioned for displaying my efforts in such a pathetic resolution that makes it impossible to read the logos! :rotfl: When I first downloaded the template I was looking at last years for inspiration and followed a link on that thread, that one had the shading already I see... not that it matters, Rainbow Trout is easily the biggest fish in this small pond so voting is hardly required is it?

The middle picture is me. Helmet tied to my neck with the strap in my mouth. I look cool as **** going down the street.
Wearing it like a hockey mask à la picture 1 looks very impressive. Might have to give it a try.
