Tom Herron's Greeves Silverstone

A friend of mine recently bought a Greeves Silverstone he believes Tom Herron competed on. Can anyone shed any light on this bike? I presume it would have been right at the very beginning of his career, although I'm not sure if Tom owned the bike or rode it for one of his sponsors.
Any information regarding the bike, as well as how Tom fared on the machine, would be most welcome.
Any Photo's would also be greatly appreciated.
