It's about as relevant as a person's skin colour and religion in the context of something that happened over 70 years ago ..
Think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one

I was being Ironic ... in the original sense of the wordRemember that last line when we go through Bahrain again.

While JP's comments may be controversial and unappealing for the masses, he has taken the time to explain how/why he chose to draw attention to that aspect of the photos. You may or may not agree with his views, but he isn't making it up and as such I consider it sitting on the fair side of play. Whether it is in entirely good taste may be more questionable, but that's not necessarily a breach of forum rules.
So, now that's put into perspective, enough of the off-topic trash talk and back to debating on-topic.
Thanks

Lewis Hamilton @LewisHamilton
Yesterday I ran the sim with Nico
...and I realized that this sim is way more inferior to one at McLaren

Think not. It's rumored that the sim they commissioned last year is of a similar type as this one:...and I realized that this sim is way more inferior to one at McLaren

Then think again. Though funky hydraulics make the thing look cool and perhaps the experience more realistic for the driver, they are not what makes simulator a great tool. What really matters is the software and it's underlying mathematical models - how accurately they model a real car on a real track. The McLaren simulator is a result of long, continuous development and most likely is much more advanced in this key area.

Has his deal with Reebok expired yet? Saw another image of him wearing puma boots.
Good question, would presumably mean new gloves as well.

not that unusual.
Team MBM I think stood for Mercedes Benz Motorsport or something. And the AMG as well there

I know that mathematics behind the tool is very important and takes quite some time to develop. But this type of sim gives a feel closer to the real world for the drivers, which is also very important for a driver-in-the-loop sim. Then think again. On the other hand, I think Mercedes is going to have teething pains trying to exploit the commercialization of having the leading driver in F1. They seem to be struggling a bit - in that the promo spots seen so far appear to attempt to look like McLaren's efforts - which are, IMO, as good as it gets both visually, editing wise, conceptually and in execution. While McLaren has somehow found their identity as the ultra-modern counterpart to Ferrari, Ferrari has their grass-roots Italiano image - neither try to be as splashy as Redbull, who of course have their own marketing style.
Mercedes should stick with the way they market their road cars, more low key. Don't worry about dubbing in Modern Crappy Techno Music or doing crazy zooms or Playstation/Battlestar Galactica camera shots, just keep it low key and classy.
They need to get someone on that quick, because that room they used for his "Address to the Factory" video is hideous! It looks like a prison, with the half-height dark gray paint scheme, simple stentorian box design and wall-wall industrial fluorescent lighting - and then cram the whole factory into this room that isn't large enough, and have everyone stand? On top of that, the lighting for the event was funny, in that there wasn't really any.
Which is fine, but... man, what a classically oppressive looking place. Whoever is in charge of their road car line's videos needs to be given a raise and put in charge. That simulator video looks nice, to the point, a bit dry, but nice. The Lewis spots seems... very awkward. For people that say "Lewis appears "awkward" I would just say that what you've seen in the past is the Magic of Video Editing, you don't really know how much time was put into what you're watching.
I would presume part of his contract I bet has a clause about the amount of time put into these spots. I recall hearing Jenson mention a "video shoot" taking hours... that's kind of ridiculous IMO, the McLaren videos look great, but... that's not really what the drivers are there for.
His comments at the museum were great, I wish they had just let the video go longer, I'm sure he had other things to say, and a less MTV-like editing pace would have been more fitting of Mercedes IMO.
/ isn't it time we see a Ross Brawn video segment......? Why haven't we....?

"I definitely could race for McLaren in the future because this team is my home," Hamilton added.
"It will always be the place where I grew up; it will always be the place where my heart is - it really will.
"Even if I'm somewhere else and having good experiences, I'll always look back and know that I had my first 21 GP wins with McLaren and I had my first chance there. It's the team that helped me break into the world of F1, so my heart and soul are there."
Fair enough Lewis! Lovely words

Looks cool. I believe we are about to see the emergence of a great collaboration between Ross Brawn and Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes. Providing of course Nikki Lauda doesn't screw it up!

Were I one of the bosses at Mercedes, I'd be a little concerned with just how high up in Hamilton's priorities is his current team, and with how committed is he in the long term. Then again, maybe they signed him up knowing it might not be a very long partnership.

The book in which the picture is from is a good one, as a German, you should read it.
I just might and its really fine was just saying my POV
but it's really cool to see Lewis in the Mercedes Suit... Mercedes is not my favorite team since I don't like their road cars and their F1 car is imo the most ugliest or was at least last season... but I'm curious to see how Nico performs in comparison to Lewis and whether or not Mercedes will become able to be rivals to the top teams

They better keep a lid on his mouth. We don't need another Helmut Marko on the paddock. I can imagine the two of them flinging poo at each other via the press.

You forgot Luca Am I the only one who likes the trio of Luca, Lauda, Marko? They bring life to F1. Yes I like to read about their ramblings and yes Lauda is exactly what Mercedes needed.
