This is a sequel to the previous thread of mine (Dream racing broadcaster team) - but this time I'm asking: what would be your nightmare motorsport TV broadcasting team? Think about commentators and other personalities who you just cannot stand and that make your blood boil? People that just wanna make you hit the screen with hammer?

As before this thread is not restricted to certain series (F1), but all areas of racing. Your dream team could be commentating on BTCC, Super GT, WSBR, NASCAR, F1, Australian Porsche Carrera Cup or anything you wish - and there is no need to mention that series here. Instead, what I wish you to tell me is

Channel - the least preferred channel of yours, ie the TV broadcaster of the series (whatever it may be). Pick 1 only
Commentators - the main commentators / colour commentators. Pick 1-3 persons
Presenters - presenters of the show providing some pre-race chat or whatever. Pick 0-3 persons (you don't necessarily have to pick any for this if you so wish)
Pit lane reporters - personell working at pits and interviewing drivers and teams. Pick 0-2 persons (you don't necessarily have to pick any for this if you so wish)

Doesn't have to be realistic, except:
A) Channel must (still) exist
B) Persons you picked must be alive
C) Persons you picked must have some connection to motor racing / cars / TV broadcasting, ie not Bruce Dickinson ;)

Not restricted to english speaking TV of course.

Dream team here

Mine

Channel: any european pay channel
Commentators: Carlton Kirby, Alfredo Nin, Tero Karhu
Pit lane: Timo Pulkkinen, Erkki Mustakari
Presenters: Robbie Nock, Jerome D'Ambrosio

My seven sins here are
Kirby - the annoying one
Nin - the unprofessional one
Karhu - the bad one
Pulkkinen - the lame one
Mustakari - the useless one
Nock - the clown one
D'Ambrosio - the boring one

Though I have to admit - Robbie is so hilariously terrible at sports presenting that it does bring some joy at least, which is not the case with the rest of these people

Here's my very special US based F1 broadcast team - confining myself to people who have covered F1 (or other top-level international motorsport) in the USA

Channel - ABC
Commentators - Rick DeBruhl, Ralph Sheheen, Derek Daly
Presenters - Bob Jenkins
Pit lane reporters - Will Buxton, Jason Priestley

Channel: Unfamiliar with any others and how they operate other than Sky and BBC, so I'll leave this blank.
Commentators: Legard and James Allen (2007/08 JA).
Presenters: Steve Ryder, Mark Blundell and Simon Lazenby.
Pitlane: Louise Goodman and Anthony Davidson.

I'm sorry but this for me can only be based on F1:
Channel: ITV Sport
Commentators: Legard, Slater
Presenters: Kai Abel, Ryder, Byron Young
Pit lane: Kravitz.

Not only would I switch off, I'd probably change sports if:

Commentators: Jonathan Legard and David Croft.
Presenters: Darrell Eastlake, Alan Jones and Jake Humphrey, haven't we.
Pitlane: Will Buxton, Natalie Pinkham

Channel: Usually I would say Fox US or SPEED, just because of the insane amount of commercial time.
But with this crew, I think the ads would provide some sanctuary.

I much prefer your positive thread to this one. It comes across as quite bitchy.

Criticism that's a bit unfair considering how bitching about TV commentators is one of this forum's top-three pastimes.

Hakkinen in the pits would be awesome.

"And Mika Hakkinen is down in the McLaren pit, what's the situation like Mika?"

"Yeah, it's incredible down here, it's really, it's just.... incredible".

Start Sports: Steve Slater would be a nightmare anywhere. The amount of mistakes he makes is at the rate of per sentence not per session.

To make Steve Slater more bearable have a drinking game for everytime he says "I suspect". You'd be drunk by lap 3 I suspect ;)

Telecinco (huge number of ads, zero interest in motorsport further from the races broadcasts, no extra coverage).

Commentators: Antonio Lobato (clueless about wheel to wheel racing + biased) and Carlos Sainz (he was and still is a world class driver, but he´s boring and doesn´t get the basics of wheel to wheel either).

Presenter: Gonzalo Serrano.

Pit lane: Victor Seara.

Jeezus. 5:00-5:15 it's impossible to distinguish the freakin' squawking parrot from the pit-entry horn. Who the hell was that!?

Let's make it interesting: Ralpb Sheheen (pre-2011), Derek Daly, Jonathan Legard, and Antonio Lobato, covering tape-delayed races on MTV. As a bonus, we'd have Kimi Raikkonen as our pitlane reporter. :p

I hope they include "Mute the Slater" feature. Only thing worse has to be the LG graphics, but there will be a day when he will transcend that. His mistakes leaves one in tears out of sheer frustration. :(

In 2013: Eddie Jordan, Murray Walker and Dave Hobbs.

Conspiracy theories, contradictory statements and continuously calling drivers by the wrong name. It would be hilarious at first, and slowly, but surely evolve into your worst nightmare.

Take away wrong names, add blatant inability to understand and comment wheel to wheel action live and you have Spanish coverage.
