Actually the Russians offered to fly a couple of turbo-prop Bears over for the event, but they were stopped in Guam.
Something to do with shampoo bottles in their carry-on.

My favourites are the viagra/testosterone supplement ones, which go on for a bloody age while the voiceover gets through all the disclaimers and health warnings, and in the meantime it plays a montage of men doing things that are non-threateningly manly, like swinging a golf club or driving a convertible.

Look at that ugly ugly Kyle Busch with his fake hot wife....makes my stomach turn. I hope he knows she's in it for the cash and not his "good" looks.

Faster at trolling? Not a freaking chance!

Sheer speed, an HRT would sufice.
In all due respect, those shows have gone over the ridiculous. The last one I saw had a guy restoring a Charger and having a big time finding parts. So most of the show has the guy and his team going nuts because they basically only have beat up shell, no seats, no engine and a couple things they salvaged. In the last 8 minutes the guy meets another guy who quite casually says that he happens to have some left overs from a previous Charger restoration, they open an old car trunk and there is literally a whole Charger in there!

His blogspot dropped all the free streams late last season and he was pushing this pay site crap on everyone.
I haven't been back since.

I can live with the ads, it's the bottomless pool of 'analysts' that is crazy.

There's what, 3 in the booth, three in the 'studio' at least three pit people...

Unbelievable. The whole website has crashed.

This is one of the reasons I may not be doing race threads. A big part of my NASCAR experience is their online products and they are getting buggier and buggier and worse and worse. I mean, a brand new website crashing at the time of the season opening, relatively minor exhibition race? It's not even a joke.

I don't know what's worse, NASCAR's online "presence" or IndyCar's management.

Same here. I also wish they showed more of that "zip line" cam that goes along the cars, gives a nice sense of speed.

I actually downloaded the much advertised Nascar 13 app. Apart from being slow and crashy it doesn't support landscape display, which makes the video viewing rather useless.

Cars look great.

I forgot how much I missed this racing.

I really like the idea of leaving it up to the fans. F1 can learn a lot. It might be a bullshit race but still a great idea, as much action for the fans as possible.

I'll give the over/under: 8. This is taking into account the results of the elimination vote which is still pending.

What side do you take?

Last place, if it was a start and park, would pay about 30k. Which is nothing compared to a normal race.

So, the 32 Car got around 30k by driving 5 laps. Well, I guess they got a profit out of it.

Not wild about the 29's paint job. Tough to see the sponsor name.

I thought it was funny how smoke said before the race that someone would do something stupid early in the race and it ends up being him.
